Every medium has bad actors. There is a few on here I’m not too happy with, but I’m only buying and selling on here cause the majority of guys on here are good eggs. The problem on Facebook is it’s so large and popular that the same percentage of bad actor is overwhelming.

    Hurst mounting torque

I'm talking the shifter mechanism itself not the adapter plate with the Allen heads. Sorry about the confusion. The shifter has 2 bolts. A 7/16 and a 3/8 maybe or 1/2 + 7/16. Service manual and holley directions basically say tight. I'm probably overthinking it as usual. Those Allen's are...

Your stock BBD should work just fine. Bumping the compression a bit isn't going to affect the carb. If you get into the rebuild and find out you need any missing or broken parts let me know. I have a box full of BBD cores that could donate to the cause. That's a cool engine color, BTW. Did I...

Made some awesome buys this month!

That 90 model 46rh is likely a a non lockup unit if that makes a difference to you. For 550 I would buy it just for engine and trans cores and hopefully be surprised by one of them working.

    Drawbacks?

The TKX is an aftermarket trans and comes in a Ford or GM flavor. Sounds like you had a bell for the Ford version but had a GM style TKX. Yikes. He is talking about an OEM TR6060 which is going to be different than any of the TKX's that are available and there is only one bellhousing...

in addition to all the aforementioned issues: weight, heat, cooling system, fuel, which you know going in are issues, i hope that your fabrication/chassis building skills are en pointe. sectioning the firewall and moving/modifying the crossmember and floor means that you're compromising...

I quit Fecebook permanently in '10 or '11. The cravings were constant for a couple days, itchy like mosquito bites for most of a week, then faded away over another week or 10 days. That shіt is addictive and toxic like cigarettes, and (also like cigarettes) they deliberately make it hard AF to...
