Depends on the person. IMHO that is getting a bit more duration than I would want for a street 318. To me 220° @ 0.050" is about the max for a street 318. As you are aware a larger displacement tollerates or likes more duration and lift. Personal preference and expectations vary widely.

The Isky cam above is not over "over cam" for your engine with a 216 @ 0.050" duration. The definition of "over cammed" that I use is when someone put in a cam without thinking about the rest of the engine. The cam is the first thing you pick and that choice defines the personality and usage...

I believe a 5.3 LS head will outflow a 440 906 head. A 318 is a GREAT set of heads (and more) away. But who is gonna put trick flows on a 318? Black Friday speedmasters? You betcha!

The 350 is making about 30 hp more at 3,000 rpm then the 318 pretty good gain, but the 350 also has better flowing heads.

It isn't hate it just doesn't make sense to cite funds as a reason to not pick up a 340-360 but then dump a bunch of money into a 318. And some of us know in the end these guys would jump on a 340-360 when the right time and enough money permits. If anything its the 318 guys who are the haters...
