    Edelbrock LD340 WTH?!?!?

    Performance aside, the LD is one of the prettiest manifolds for it's day. If only Mopar would have contracted it for the 340 production line like Chebby did with the Winters foundry for their performance engines.

    I bought a pair of '68 340 manifolds at Carlisle in 1995 for $175. That's about $350 in today's money. Given thirty years of diminishing supply, prices are right about where they should be. Stuff costs money.

    In an A body? I don’t think there are any 360 manifolds (driver side) that fit an a body. That being said, I bet the 340 hp manifolds would show +- 10 hp on a mild 360 over the 360 manifolds, and both would be down 15-30hp on a good set of headers.

    68-71 340 was most desireable exhaust nmanifolds .But I wouldnt pass on the dirt cheap ones you have lined up... but now you know why they are dirt cheap. :thumbsup: and I second ditching teh headers been there done that also. The thing is on an A body the good headers cost as much as the 68-71...

    that would be my choice for the set up/parts that you have to compliment it. with a 3.55 if you put wings on it that early a would fly. put whatever exhaust you have on it while you save for headers. no sense in making a half step with whatever combo of manifolds for minimal gains.
