    [WANTED] ISO rear seat-

    I have rear dart seats in a 69 notch back they will fit but high in the back part , and get them in and out ripped my headliner. And haven’t got the seat part to latch. Really have t spent to much time looking into what needs modified because I’d like to get the correct seats.

    When you cut the fender wells out, and realize you can hold the whole peice in one hand outstretched, you will conclude it's a waste. The roll bars needed to put the strength back are heavier than what you cut out

    I ran a non-cut LD 340 on my 10-1/2 to 1 340 years ago. Had an MP 557 solid cam, 3:91 gears and a Holley 3310 on a 1" spacer. Stock X heads and generic headers. This was in a 4-speed 73 Duster. It was still pulling strong at 72-7300 but I ran out of testicular fortitude.

    Probably the way they are attached to the inner structure of the roof, the outer structure would be the same. Must be clips, holes, or other style attachment points that are different. We built one of each but can't remember what the difference was...

    Where did you come up with that torque spec for the pan bolts? You'll cut the gasket all to pieces. Should be like 9-12 LB FT.

    So you cut out sheet metal unibody which adds strength to save weight, then you weld in tubing to get the strength back, which one is heavier?

    I unnerstand. I run 21 initial on Vixen's 225, but she's pretty heavily modified and I have the total limited to 30 degrees. She runs way stronger than an inline six has a right to. We probably put over 100 miles on her today.

    I don't doubt you. And some of the later '70s smogger motors called for a big whack of initial timing. OP's got a 225, tho, made before then. That's what my 5ish-degrees recommendation was meant for.
