    With a G3 and EFI, it's not a problem. The factory setup with a 5.7/6.4 and 6M runs at 1500 rpm at 65 mph and 1700 at 75 mph, way under your threshold. With 3.21 gears, smaller tires and an A833OD, it will actually be turning faster than the factory planned.

    That would be best if he could up the displacement but the way I read the OP is it’s also a displacement limited class. If not I’d jack as long a stroke to it as I could to get the rpm down. I don’t think he can do that.

    There's an area out in the Mighty Mojave real near old 66 where the Feds long ago planted bare car chassis in the river bed to minimize washouts. The parts above the sand were sand blasted clean by nature :lol: Below probably wasn't much worse since it rains out there so much :lol:

    Not even close. The 2.75" pistons calipers work great with a 15/16" master cylinder. Been there, run that, nothing at all wrong with the combination and it is an IMPROVEMENT over stock A-body 2.6" pistons.

    How much HP is required to be competitive in this class ? Are similar cid engines spinning 7000-8000+ rpms ? If you get the lbs-ft per cid up there you can make the power at lower rpms.
