What about these manifolds from the 80's 318/360 truck engines? I kind of like the looks of them and will probably wind up getting a set ceramic coated and using them on a fairly mild 360 in my '68 Barracuda. Jay

Only from the standpoint that if it doesn't have to be 'numbers matching' (IE restoring an original 340 car), why not use a 360 block? Lots cheaper and 20 more CI - before the stoker kit. That should save you at least $1,500 off your price estimate right there! Jay

In my experience, the tap splices tend to cut strands of the wire, causing problems down the road with arcing, corrosion, etc. Take the time and do it 'right', strip, solder, etc., then heat shrink or good quality electrical tape. If you live somewhere where corrosion is common (coastal or...

OK, another question... It has a tag stating it was rebuilt in '94 - no other documentation. Are there potential problems with a tranny that has been sitting that long since a rebuild without being installed (assuming no exterior rust issues)? For $100 is it at least a good core...
