    What's your favorite pen

Whatever writes. I have a medical condition that causes ink pens to stop writing in a short time whenever I grab one. I told my doctor about it one day just in general conversation and she said "yeah, there's a test for that". She gave me her "test pen" and damn near immediately it stopped...

    Paint Matching for Rookies

I've been painting cars and trucks for 52 years, you almost always have to blend into the next panel, especially with light colors with metallic. Really hard to do with single stage. Believe it or not , your blue is one of the toughest out there. Even white can be rough to hit straight up...

    Paint Matching for Rookies

The paint shop I use will do spray out cards to come up with a match after starting with a code. For a good job you really need to blend into the doors.

So there's an alarm in the mix? That wasn't disclosed initially. Sounds like you need to delve into your installation of that alarm system

[FOR SALE] MP 'A' Engine and Chassis Manuals

Chassis manual looks almost new. Engine book is in decent condition with a little rip on the binding. I'd like to sell these as a set, I don't think the cost for shipping a single book would be worth it. 50 for the set plus 12 for shipping via USPS. If shipping ends up being less, I'll refund...

    Sweeting Performance HydroBoosters

If I recall correctly they were also impacted by the lack of hydroboost boosters at the time. BUT they were at least upfront about it. End of the day for me, fabicated my own bracket, hoses, etc. Hydroboost was SO worth it for me and the 14" 6 piston baer brakes at all 4 corners on my dart.

    Paint Matching for Rookies

Q....Is it easier to match paint that's still in the can or on the car? I'm a bit skeptical on those color cameras. I tried (my first time) painting single stage on my '69 front clip recently. It didn't go as well as I had hoped. Since my car was not drivable, I pulled the trunk lid and...

    Transmission oil

Mineral base GL-4 (not GL-5) in SAE 80W-90, 90 or 140. Since you're upstate (where?), 80W-90 will be fine. Unless you drive only in hot weather and do foot to the floor power shifts, SAE 140 is unnecessary. Several choices at Summit, from cheap to expensive. Others available elsewhere...

So I'm at a stall. The only valve spring mics I have go 1.6 - 2.2, so I don't have room to install the valve locks to measure the valve stem height. I gotta get the shorter mic, so I'm held up for a bit. Oh well.
