What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Pretty good weekend at the Garlits Mopar show with a pair of first places for the car. Humbling for sure as there were some fabulous cars there! I just enjoy the camaraderie of other car nuts and their rides. Got to finally meet Paul (@70dart340 ) and his wife and a couple other members...

A real build not nickle and dime wannabe junk

That, plus I've seen a lot of $$$$$$ race builds that were pure tee JUNK. I'm talking tens of thousands of dollars in parts just put together like a blind dumbass did it. No offense to blind dumbasses.

68 Barracuda Formula S 340 missing trim tag and Vin / dash

I will be visiting the MVD in AZ to get it looked at. I think is State of California in large lettering on the top of the title.. Also the watermarks are of the state Bear

Stop in for a cup of coffee

That’s kinda where I was going… Does the scanner tell if its the module or sensor? Or which sensor? They were a full service shop, but now more tires and towing. I think the owner was the main mechanic and I think his wrenches spend most days in the box anymore.

68 Barracuda Formula S 340 missing trim tag and Vin / dash

On a 68 the VIN is not anywhere on the car except the VIN tag. The number on the core support and trunk lip is the SO# which only appears on the fender tag...

1972 Duster, 340/4, black on black (the endgame)

My uncle special ordered a new '72 Duster 340. It included a 4-speed and rallye gauge cluster. It never came. He took a stock car off the lot; AT and standard square dash. The fact that I've never seen a factory '72 340 Duster with the '70-'71 Rallye cluster, and the fact that his special...

68 Barracuda Formula S 340 missing trim tag and Vin / dash

Car has not been transferred or titled. It has not been title since 2005 in Ca. The Vin is stamped in the trunk area and does match the vin on the title. My guess is that it was parted out .. Drivetrain and interior all gone. Legit S 340/4speed car. Just now a rolling shell. As far as the...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Tire shop, calls a bad part, i would hope the next shop does a thorough scan and road test. I’d be leaning towards a bad wheel speed sensor..

    EPAS Electric Power Steering install

I haven’t read into MS that much but if you can set up custom frames that will send the right messages to the right ID for the epas you’re probably all good. Otherwise you’d need an “interpreter” in between. An arduino with a can shield that has two buses would work. You’d read the MS bus on one...

I bought my first fluke (a 23) off the Mac truck back around 1988-89.. Still have it, still works perfectly.. My second fluke (a 179) I bought twenty years later just another quality tool.... Does what it's supposed to every time..

    Another big power sbe video

I love this guy's stuff: He's making mid 600's at the wheels. So 750ish crank in a sbe 5.9. Very impressive and makes me wonder-again-what the limits really are.

    Metal in oil

yes 17,000 total miles on crate motor. I’m second owner since build, it had 10,000 miles on it when I purchased it. I changed oil promptly and switched to Amsoil Z-Rod — PO was using Driven with Zinc. And did a proper break in. He’s on FABO as “ Cuda 36” and documented the build in “...
