    Milodon Oil pan fitment

9" vs. 8.75" Hmm....not that big difference. But maybe you have some another reasons why use another style pan: -Price -In this situation, Canton is a bit smaller, but 7qt. of oil is enough up to 8000rpm. (At least) -Maybe you have a nice painted/powdercoated k-frame and you dont want to cut...

    Milodon Oil pan fitment

Milodon 30935 oil pan is 8.75" deep, and Canton is 9", so the sump doesn't hang too low.

    Milodon Oil pan fitment

I absolutely hate that kind of pans, that's why, two hours ago, i ordered a new Canton oil pan for my motor. It has straight sides and it's 9" deep and 7qt. oil capacity. Canton #15-900. Edit: Oil pan was ~236$ and pick up was ~75$

    Edelbrock victor heads

Also different valve angle 16°vs.18°, and big 2.15" intake valve. It doesn't hit to the cylinder wall, but that big valve needs and likes bigger bore. JMO.

    Another Super Victor?

I'm not an expert, but here's my thoughts. I was surprised that you have 4.00" crank, after you wrote: "there's not much under 3500rpm". So i think your camshaft must be at least 260°+ @.050", and power range starts at around 3500rpm, and doesn't "work properly" under ~3500rpm. And replacing...

    300 Cfm heads Horsepower

And the intake manifold cuts cylinder head flow numbers down, approximately 3-7%, if it's ported well. (And depending on the intake manifold type and size.) Also, remember that you should to know: -Cylinder head air speed too, not just how much they flow (bad head can flow big numbers)...
