    Odd shifter problem, need advice

No, experience with Hurst shifters. Aftermarket had bushings, factory did not. But Hurst "clips" are thicker and take out a lot of wiggle.

Deciding on replacement intake (318, details in post)

Heads are gonna make or break your combo with weaker heads (.300"-.500" lift flow numbers) you'll need more cam and cr with better flowing heads can get away with less cam and cr. The so called magazine 400hp combo there like 4 of them, basically are an 750 with airgap, headers, 230 cam, 10:1 cr...

    273 Commando Rebuild Or Not?

Not much different at .425 lift, but less false motion. I pretty much run them on everything. But I don't run anything but a 4 barrel carb and rev to 6,000 rpm. When you use good parts, longevity is a non issue in my experience. Most of my engines last forever with oil and filter changes at...

    Pain Relief - Great News

I've been following this Pharmaceutical Co. for a few years, waiting to be able to give good news other than CBD related in that thread. A non-opiod pain reliever . The Food and Drug Administration is scheduled to make a decision on whether to approve it as a treatment for acute pain in...

Project Cheap & Nasty Updated With Back Story

I took the mannyfold to my friend Freddie. He's a whiz with porting and modifying stuff. If I tried to do it, I'd cut the damned thing in half. He's gonna remove the center divider and open the oval up to match the adapter.

How to Remove Pit Marks in my 68 Tail Panel

That is anodized aluminum. If they aren't too deep you can strip the anodizing and sand them out. Finish by polishing the raw aluminum or send it off to be re coated.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Back from test drive... The lights only come up after it sits a long time, mainly overnight. Restart it and they clear. They do not come on while driving.

How to Remove Pit Marks in my 68 Tail Panel

Hello Everyone I’m attempting to restore my 68 GTS Tail Panel. Overall it’s in great condition. I have some pit marks at either end of the panel. You can’t feel them with your finger but you can see them. Is it better to file them out or sand them out? I’m definitely a rookie at this. Thanks for...

    71 Duster 360 turbo build

Hy-gard fluid made a decent difference dropping my shift points around 300rpm. Between that and the new front servo my shifts are looking much better in the data logs. Scheduled a dyno tune Friday morning. Not concerned with numbers, but I’m going to push it hard. It’s either going to stay...

Deciding on replacement intake (318, details in post)

1st what are you trying to get out of the 318, power and rpm wise ? A 318 just gonna need more rpm and gearing than a similarly built 360 Eg. 400 hp is around 5400 rpms for a 360 and 6000 rpms for a 318.
