Stop in for a cup of coffee

I always get asked for them. I am going to hit up some of the larger companies to see if I can get them out in quantity. So far alot of custom stuff being made up for me. Slant HEI plates, Dual point distributor leads, HP advance springs and these clips.

    273 Commando Rebuild Or Not?

The head gasket is not you problem on the low side. Check your head castings. If you run the engine as is and start using good oil and a good filter, the compression may come up to match the other side. Commando head gaskets are special .020 thick head gaskets. The bore of the Commando head...

They always go flying off when taken out. Usually find them stuck on the bottom of my sneakers. Got sick of it. Man not cheap to get made. Setup kills you. Now I am good for future orders. Springs should be here next week. Tell you what I dropped 5k getting these made up.

    Door Lock Install

I could be wrong but you need to disconnect the other end of that rod and then hook up the new key lock side then drop it in and reconnect the mechanism side.

Was just woken at 11:30 our mountain is burning and has gotten worse.

Oh… 200 acres ? Yeah probably wouldn’t trigger a federal response yet . Or there may be a tanker en route. Although PA may not be equipped to refill air support ? Here is a pic of a fire 1 month ago near my home . 10,000 acres and no where near the biggest in Idaho this year .

    Door Lock Install

Everything looks so easy but if you have never done it before it's not. Thank God for this site and its members. Need a little guidance installing the door locks on my 69 Cuda. Can't seem to get that link rod into the hole on the lock tab.:BangHead:

65 Valiant small block with Heddman fenderwell headers. Need suggestions on master cylinder upgrade

Convert to a duel pot. You can stick with the manual drums, just have to do a little plumbing. Finelines sells a T-block to do the conversion. After that add a heat shield. You can fab one or go to Accurate Ltd.

1972 Duster, 340/4, black on black (the endgame)

I like how your panels are turning out. Once it sits in the sun and gets good and hot, those small wrinkles will probably come out. We made the door panels, kick panels and rear panels in Vixen and they turned out ok.

Steve , I live a few miles from the National Interagency Fire Center and know lots of fire personnel. My son was a hotshot on a “Buggy” just like @go-fish. . I can guarantee you that resources were not withheld. Air support needs to come from out west here ( also a few miles from me. ) and...

    Compression Ratio and Boost Query

Depends on the 318. The early ones had forged cranks. Of course, you can break an anvil if you try hard enough. lol

    Compression Ratio and Boost Query

You are saying what I was originally thinking. Obviously, just forcing air into a junkyard 318 and changing nothing is gonna end poorly. All things being equal, with proper controls, I think one could boost to the point where the internals, (mainly the crankshaft in this case) are the...
