    [WANTED] 11” X 3” Rear Brakes

So, that would be a “No” on the computer! Understood. Shoot me your number when you can. It sounds like between you and eBay I could almost piece together a complete setup except for the backing plates. I’d still prefer to start with dirty stuff so I can see how things are supposed to go...

    [WANTED] 11” X 3” Rear Brakes

Bummer! I really appreciate you checking for me. The last time I bought these the first two set of 11”x 3” I went to see ended up being 11” X 2.5”. The 2.5’s would still be a good set-up but I started playing Tuba in 3rd grade and the go-big-or-stay-home thing with me never went away...

    [WANTED] 11” X 3” Rear Brakes

Cool, do you have a website? I’d like to find a complete-n-dirty set and refurbish them. I’m very much a monkey see / monkey do kind of guy. I have a few leads on components but will need to buy new part before long.

    [WANTED] 11” X 3” Rear Brakes

Cool, i’m Newish to Mopars, most of my “hoard” was Ford stuff. let me know if you can about width. I found someone from the C Body site that has a set who might be a bit closer, (less freight). He is checking on cables. If the deal falls through with him and if you can verify the width of your...

    [WANTED] 11” X 3” Rear Brakes

Thanks! The last set of these brakes I purchased came from a ‘68 300 as well! Good idea about trying the other MOPAR sites. Since I’m already member here I figured this would be a good place to start.

    [WANTED] 11” X 3” Rear Brakes

Hi everyone, I’m about to start in on a truck Dana 60 to narrow and set up for my ‘68 Dart. I’d like to add a set of 11” X 3” drum brakes to this. Is anyone parting out a late 60’s early 70’s fullsize that might have these. I’d like the whole mess, chicken, guts, feathers, and garters. Any help...

Opps, butterfingers, Max Wedge II's number is 77949.

    Standard Intake to Max Wedge

I believe the numbers for the Victor Jr heads are as follows: 77929 - standard port with valves 78949 - Max Wedge II's with valves Prices for both seem to run the same, about $890 per head on eBay. My car: '68 2 Dr post 440 reported to be built be reputable local shop/owner who ended up...

    Standard Intake to Max Wedge

My plan has always been to use a single 4 bbl. But since my car is a plain-jane by design, having a cross-ram stitting there when I pop the hood might be worth loosing a few tenths at the track. Too bad they're so expensive. An STR would be the next best thing.

    Standard Intake to Max Wedge

Thanks for the input guys. I'm considering a set of the Edelbrock Max Wedge II's but I think they're really overkill for my app. Still, I'd hate to leave something on the table by getting the wrong heads. I kill for one of those repop Max Wedge crossrams. I could probably get girls with one of...

    Standard Intake to Max Wedge

Hello everyone, I'm in the market for a set of heads and am considering the Edelbrock Victor Jr. Max Wedge II's. The available intakes for these seems pretty limited. I was curious if anyone has ported a standard port intake to make it work with the raised ports of the Max Wedge? I realize...

Pertronix II upgrade for Unilite distributor

Hello all, I'm still mulling over what to replace the stock ignition system on my car with ('68 post car with a mild-ish 440). I've considered the $55 eBay special distributors but whenever I ask about replacement parts everyone gets really quite. I've considered buying a reman OE...

Header Bolt Sealant - What's Everyone Using?

Hi everyone, I'm new to mopars and while removing the TTI headers from my 440 powered '68 Dart I noticed that the header bolts go thru the water jacket on the heads. What type of sealant does everyone use on header bolts to prevent water leaks? I didn't see any residue from any sealant when...

    Lean-Burn Dual P/U Distributors - Any Good?

Thanks everyone for all the great ideas. Rapid Robert might have put the final nail in this idea for now. I've never seen one of these units in the flesh and didn't know the timing was locked out on them. The Mallory 685 is smarter then the average box but doesn't have the juice to provide...

    Lean-Burn Dual P/U Distributors - Any Good?

Hello all, I'm wanting to make some decisions about components for an ignition system in my 440 powered '68 Dart. The car came with a few parts so I have options. The system in the car is a factory magnetic P/U distributor with a gold box (?) and ballast resistor. The car came with a couple...

    help needed with clutch linkage

Hey BigOrange, I'd be interested in knowing/seeing what you did to convert your clutch linkage to hydraulic. My car is set up for a 4 speed but there's no way the factory parts will work with my big-tube TTI's. I picked up a scatter shield bellhousing 'cause I thought it would lend itself to...

    Making my hemi scoop functional.

This looks simple to build and stouter then some of the pre-made units i've seen. This project is on my to-do list as well. My car is a street/strip car. I'm tempted to add some holes in the outside edge of the base so I have a good place to set my plugs if I need to pull and check 'em between...

Need advice on installing new fuel line

OK, Here are some dumb questions. I've bought my first Mopar, a 68 Dart 2 dr post with a 440 in it. Sombody before stripped out the original fuel line and installed VERY scary 3/8" aluminum fuel line using adele clamps to mount it outside the frame rail. This line is even zip-tied to the front...

    [SOLD] Re-starting Dash making.....

My 68 came with the cluster in a box, some assembly required. This is the style of dash I've been trying to plan out. This stuff's nicer then what I'd have hacked together. Please mark me as interested in either a full dash or a cluster for a 68. I'd prefer the full dash but might cave if a...
