1968 Dodge Dart GT Sleeping Beauty?

When I was scouring the local wrecking yard for horns for Dart #2 I discovered several different mounts and a couple different manufacturers. So it is entirely posable that in 68 they were different than in 67

Another " gotta have a damn 360" I can't be the only one here that's sick and tired of that mentality. Not like 360s are holy grail or anything (they're not)

    Chinesium Strikes Again!

Bessey name shouldn`t even be allowed to be put on that vice  Like all other good manufactures, once they offshored to Asia, they turn to ****. I bought some nice Bessey bar clamps still made in Germany, nothing else compares.

Where does the Fuel Gauge sending Unit get it's Ground so that the Fuel Gage Works.

THIS!! AS old as these girls are, I would ground the sender DIRECTLY. Solder or clamp a wire, likely easiest near the base of the fuel line nipple, and bolt it to the body. There is no guarantee that the sender has continuity to the tank, that the tank is grounded, or that the fuel...

Was just going to say....a flexplate is pretty cheap to fix that issue. Most aftermarket converters are neutral. You just get an external balanced flexplate. Chrysler SB Steel SFI Flex Plate - LA 360 SB EXTERNAL BALANCE - Chrysler Compatible

    Dead in the water

Take a picture of your bulkhead connector and speedometer cable route through the firewall under the hood and post it here. Check the wires at the ammeter too. I could see arcing hot wires with a speedo cable….

    Dead in the water

Ammeter circuit. Power comes from the big stud on the start relay, which is "battery," goes through the fuse link, through the (big RED) ammeter wire through the bulkkhead connector, to the ammeter, through the ammeter, and out on the big BLACK ammeter wire a few inches to the WELDED...

    318 Build? Help!

Now that is a front bumper. I did the same thing with a 78 power wagon, but I took out the 318 and put in a 5.9 mag, dressed as a LA. Night and day difference. And the 318 was not wore out. A good comparison, pulling my camper, the 318 would only pull a long up-hill reaching the top at 45 mph...

NC title says VOID VOID for ODO and Title Brands

Mystery solved. Just as a trial I photocopied my NC title and when I did the VOID watermark appeared all over the title. Before I photocopied it the void watercolor mark appeared in just the odometer reading, odometer status and title status. FYI, those three blocks on my title are also blank...

Holley 1850 fuel transfer tube seals??

They almost have to be. I've never had a problem with the cup type seals. I have a QFT 450 on Vixen and that's what's on her carburetor and I've changed them before. Easy peasy. So I bet that's what it is.

    MLS Gaskets

It makes no difference really what it’s used for. Street or race. The cometics will be fine. My truck has 630,000+ miles on it, most of those on boost, and the heads have been off 3 times, and retorqued twice. All on the same gaskets. I rely on it daily. On some of the boosted LS stuff I’ve...

Holley 1850 fuel transfer tube seals??

Well thats what I was thinking, the Holley kit i got fits a multitude of applications and it came with the seals AND o-rings, i remember I couldn't get the seals to fit the first time but I thought I'd try again, i mean I'm a 210 pound guy and I used all the force I had pushing against that...

    Dead in the water

You could have blown the fusible link anywhere in the vehicle working under the dash. Electrical damage isn't limited to where you are working. The fusible link(s) on these cars normally comes off the big terminal on the starter relay. Do you have a factory service manual for your car? If not...
