    RIP Wally Booth

Wally passed away on Tuesday, 11/12/2024 at the age of 87. I consider him to be one of the kindest and most respected racers that ever lived. I was fortunate to have spent time with Wally and always enjoyed talking with him. Wallace Elston "Wally" Booth Obituary (2024) - Troy, MI - A.J...

What was the year that the A body cars had this feature?

This design with the power input and output mounted to a more positive terminal…. It sure seemed like a better design than the one that followed.

OzyDuster74 full rebuild and hemi conversion!!

i redrilled the torsion bar crossmember closer to the centre so the park brake cable would be 'inside' the frame connector when i got round to fitting them. no need to notch the connector that way. neil.

Hey, Dantheman you are just late to the party

Glad we agree. Think the best way is to stick the lid to base with 3-M tape. I have some used to reattach moulding on new cars. I will need it undamaged. That way I can use it on one of the cars you pass on, when I buy it.

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

She needs to make sure the "car" is level side to side before she does that.

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

You can see where it stops on the left side just under that shift rod. Then, all there is is the bare top of the upper cross member. At least, that's what I'm seeing.

    904 Tail Shaft Seal Selection?

I started working in the Transmission parts industry in 1980. We had back then the 727 seals with or without the dust boot. The early 904's were non booted. We were at the time a distributor of Natpro a large transmission parts distibutor and that was our main source of parts. Chrysler part...

    Moog camber kit junk?

No, no damage from cutting the old ones out. Retired steel worker here. I've got a handle on a cutting rig. But I will say this. The Moog bolts are too short. After removing them today, I see that the eccentric washer never made it to the actual shoulder of the bolt itself. It spun on the...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

don't know if i mentioned it yet but think about bolting the 'hump' in place rather than welding. i used nutserts/rivnuts on my valiant. it made setting up/fitting the rods and shifter easy as it can be done after the trans is fitted. neil.

    WHAT GOES HERE?

On my 71 Demon it’s where the factory tach wire is. A picture that a member posted here. Hope they don’t mind a repost. I kept a copy for my reference.

The large sheet metal piece in the middle. If I remember, and I will check, it was trimmed to the upper cross member frame.

This angle makes it appear tilted a little to the driver side.

I do not see the "leave" piece in this picture. I don't think it's there.

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

The rod looks close to my original 1964 3-4 rod. I think your "leave" sheetmetal is not left on the originals. Maybe trim the sheet metal to the crossmember frame? Let me check the 66.

    WHAT GOES HERE?

Hi Folks Just wondering what this hole in the firewall just above and to the left of the parking cable is for? I've seen firewalls with this hole, and I've seen them where there was a dimple at this location. Thanks FABO Edit: And no, the inner fenders are not black

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Is my engine tilting towards the drivers side? I do know that I have the engine sitting in the holes (engine mounting holes) furthest towards the drivers side. All I could do at that point would be to shim up that side. However, 66fs (Dan), I contacted him and he's going to see if he has another...

    318 Build? Help!

Just keep in mind, even with the magnum cores, they are getting a lot of age on them now, too. You used to could find low mileage examples easily that needed minimal to no machine work. Now it's not so easy anymore.
