63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

The sheet metal for the floor is trimmed to the cross member front and rear on the 66. Next get your trans verticle in the Dart, then maybe tweek the 3-4 linkage rod, but I don't think you will need to by then.

    WHAT GOES HERE?

On my 70 Dart the window pisser hoses are where the picture shows “plugged on my car” by where the ballast resistor sits. Edit. I don’t have the hole OP is asking about.

What was the year that the A body cars had this feature?

I think that's a 65. Seems like those ammeter connections would be a little more robust. Good place to tap into for a power source at the firewall too.

    Transmission oil

Yup... The A-833 had large gears and as the temperature got colder below 40 degrees it was harder to shift the gears. Mopar made that recommendation in multiple places, attached is a lift from the 1970 Plymouth Service Manual. But in Southern California, where the temperature typically stays...

    Transmission oil

"If shift effort becomes extremely high..." Being in Mini-scrotum you probably know this all too well, but for those in warmer climes who aren't aware: Shifting an A833 full of SAE140 on a -25°F morning is a lot like trying to kayak through wet concrete.

Butters "Winter Upgrades". . Starting a Little Early

Just piddled today.. Stripped the old motor down to a longblock and started cleaning on the replacement.. I'll run gun bore cleaners through all the oil passes tomorrow. Might set the crank and double check rod to block clearance. I've been collecting things for this build for a while...

    WHAT GOES HERE?

Thanks for the reply. I have dimples in the location of the factory tach wire in your pic. The hole I am referring to is just above and to the left of the parking brake cable grommet.

Butters "Winter Upgrades". . Starting a Little Early

I cut at 49" and I believe I removed 8" of the top plate at the rear. I used 3/8x2x5 for the front plates.. 1/4 would've been fine but 3/8 is what I had. 49" left the rear subframe hole open on the bottom for drainage,

What was the year that the A body cars had this feature?

This design with the power input and output mounted to a more positive terminal…. It sure seemed like a better design than the one that followed.
