63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Bending the shift rod may be the best solution. If you put more of a bend in it at the first bend from the shifter, won't that raise it up some? You have plenty of thread left on the adjustment, so hopefully it will work. Can you loosen up the shifter to shifter plate bolts, will the whole...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

So, bascially, I'm just going to take the bend out and that should take care of this. I can still take a bit out of the "leave" metal, but really, it's only 1/8" thick or so

Ford got fined 165 million for airbag recall. They have been dragging their feet apparently. Interesting because they are also talking about another recall for the same amount for a rear camera recall. I wouldn't own one. Mopar has a big recall on antilock issues but there have been no reported...

can a 440 be installed from underneath?

@Kendog 170 , thank you for your info! I actually really like your polished flat plate. I hope you don't mind if I duplicate that! David

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

I remember the picture you posted on my thread. You did a jam up job! Not sure if I want to do that, once seats, carpet, all is in, I hope to never have to pull the transmission again. So, I'm not going to weld the hump in until later, much later, running, driving, to make sure all is well. I...

My smart thermostat is interesting. If it doesn't detect motion and activity in the house it will change settings to "Away" mode. This is nice except when I'm super busy in my office and don't emerge all day Got down to 60°

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Darn, pictures are taking forever to download! grr Is everyone one on the phone! I've leveled the body side to side, even in the trunk and it's level. I did have to lift the engine to get the drivers side upwards which put the intake/carburetor at 1degree(leaning to the drivers looking from...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Maybe try picking the motor up just enough to get the weight off motor mounts, and rotate it counterclockwise, looking at it from the front of the car. The slots in the K frame give you a decent bit of wiggle room to do that.

    WHAT GOES HERE?

Your speedometer cable appears to be in the parking brake cable hole, and the hole your asking about almost looks like someone drilled it, not factory. That's how it looks from here anyway

New best with my 340 Duster

All I know is I have had multiple boxes fail, and every car I have installed the Daytona Sensor box and coil in, just runs so much better and ETs are better.

    WHAT GOES HERE?

It's a 71 Demon auto, but the firewall is from a donor and I'm not sure what that was. My guess........Possibly the reverse indicator light from a stick car? Hoping someone will confirm. I originally thought that it may be the tach, but @Dubob 's picture shows that it is not.

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

The sheet metal for the floor is trimmed to the cross member front and rear on the 66. Next get your trans verticle in the Dart, then maybe tweek the 3-4 linkage rod, but I don't think you will need to by then.

    WHAT GOES HERE?

On my 70 Dart the window pisser hoses are where the picture shows “plugged on my car” by where the ballast resistor sits. Edit. I don’t have the hole OP is asking about.

What was the year that the A body cars had this feature?

I think that's a 65. Seems like those ammeter connections would be a little more robust. Good place to tap into for a power source at the firewall too.
