Like coffee shops here. 4 on one intersection. I am afraid the private store will go and it has been around for a decade.

    1971 Scamp Build Sheet

Bought a 1971 Scamp. It's in pretty rough shape, but it caught my eye because of the weird combination. It has around 38k miles and a pretty well-documented history. The fun thing is that it is a 225 car with an 8 3/4 rear end. That's what sold me on it. I decoded the build sheet and thought it...

They are closing 500 corporate stores, and 200 independent stores out of their 5000 locations. Simply cutting the fat in today's economy. I'm sure online buying is a part of it, but I feel most companies have spread themselves too thin. The Dollar General philosophy doesn't work for every business.

When I worked at CarQuest, we had a very slow front end. Mostly the same people too, not many random folks buying parts. They closed when advanced bought the brand. It was the commercial accounts that kept the lights on.

Online is not helping. I am guilty of that myself. If I need a part that may need warranty sometime, I will shop locsl. (like a battery or an alternator or the like)

    Moog camber kit junk?

It would be really helpful for you to post pictures of the bolts so we could see what you're describing. A measurement from the eccentric under the head of the bolt out to the shoulder/flat area would also be helpful, as I'm sure there are plenty of us with OE bolts laying around that could be...

    I love Evaporust!

As long as it stays wet, it works. They actually do use swimming pools and circulate it with pumps to keep it as wet as possible. I did a roof on a 1953 chevy with it. High quality shop towels and cover it with plastic. Saran type plastic. I use car cover plastic for bagging cars. I did it twice...

No list yet on which stores will close. Our walk-in business at the napa I work at, is way down. if it wasn't for the commercial side, it would probably close. the walk in does not even come close to paying the front counter people salaries.

    I love Evaporust!

I was looking into the what if of building an above ground swimming pool the shape of my Dart convert, adding weighted containers to reduce the volume of liquid needed in the passenger compartment, trunk, engine compartment and soaking the entire car. BUT... it's still a **** ton of Evap o rust.

[FOR SALE] Lifetime Collection of Automotive Magazines

Excuse me, but I do not think there is much chance of you selling these magazines (specially for $500) unless you list which magazines you have and, perhaps, which issues of each type. I know it would be a lot of work, but I don't see you selling them otherwise.

Sand blasting/glass beading blah blah blah SUCKS. Spend all that time making a mess. Screw that, just drop it in a bucket of that stuff and forget about it till it’s done, rinse it off. Personally I prefer electrolysis.

    I love Evaporust!

I use it as a precursor to blasting. How good does it got to look under there. I hate filling stuff like that up with grit. I used walnut shells for a while but it still messed with stuff.

    I love Evaporust!

What i do is buy 2 gallons, one gallon is the first pass, the second gallon is the second pass. I use a paint strainer to strain the liquid in and out of the container. I bought some gallon and 2 gallon plastic food containers from Sam's club that I put the parts in. Also the product will look...
