Well my daughter cracked my restored 63 Valliant so I'm on the hunt for drivers side front fender, front bumper & hood any help would be great! Jeff

OK I have the wires pulled through the column the trick was to use a flat head screw driver to help direct the wire into square opening one at a time! So glad that's done! Cheers! Jeff

I tried that I cant seem to even get just one taped brass connector to get into the steering column. I seems like where the brass & old wire come together does not flex enough to make it into the square opening in the steering column. Maybe I'll try some pulling lube that's waxed based.

How do you pull the wires for a new turn signal switch through the steering column of a 63 valiant. I have the steering wheel off. The new brass connector clips do not seem to want to make into the slot in the upper part of the steering column while pulling them with old wires. Thanks! Jeff

You should have dash lights some times the head light switch part that works like a potentiometer, when you turn the head light switch just before the click that turns on the dome light is worn out, sounds like you need a new head light light switch.

Thanks every one for there help it's defiantly was the turn signal switch in the steering, I cleaned it up the best I could but it was still having a hard time making a good connection on red wire which was the left break light so I used a larger washer to hold the contacts on the turn signal...

The ground on the front turn signal? It seems like it might be a ground thing so the break light/ turn signal housing needs to be touching a good metal ground or are we talking about something under the dash?

I have a 63 Valiant that only has the right break light working, I have replaced all of the bulbs left & right, put in a new turn signal flasher. Both left & right turn signals work fine. I'm just not getting 12V to the left break light. Where do I need to check next? Big Thanks!! Jeff

Some times rough starts can be a points or timing issue even after the car has warmed up. You need to know your cars engine is dialed in electronically before dive into the carb. Jeff

Sorry can't find it must have been chucked when I moved a year ago & it was for a one barrel.

If it's for a one barrel I might have one laying around the garage looks like the slide linkage part of the kick down that hooks to the carb. Jeff
