Anyone swap a Tremec T45 in their 67-69 Dart?

I have a 1969 auto dart and I want to swap it to a 4-Speed or 5-Speed. I found a tremec for a 99-04 mustang and wondered if anyone knows the pain-in-the-*** it might be?? I was going to do the 3-Speed OD swap but also like the idea of the Tremec but they are $5,000! Anyone know the headache a...

Depending on year of 273(66 and newer) will accept the LD4B, which might be easier to find?

What's the mileage on yours? There's a line of Mevotech that is lifetime(that's my plan). Stealership is 3 yrs(I think). I had planned to do a tire change anyway, but not till spring. Still some tread left after 130 kms, but LOTS of cracking between treads.

    [WANTED] 7.25 sure grip WANTED

Sorry people. The SG unit I have is NOT for a 7 1/4. Just assumed it was as it came with other 7 1/4 and 64 Valiant parts. When I took a good look at it, to make sure it was good, I discovered not 7 1/4. Not sure what it is at this time. Might be 8 1/4?

Clutch questions (didn't want to hijack other threads)

If you take it apart and the pressure plate and flywheel look good (if not have the flywheel turn and a new pp 2600 to 2800#), then throw away the dual friction disc and put an organic disc or a Ram 900 series disc in it, and a Clutch Tamer( follow Grants advise on how to set it up) and go have...

    Amp to volt gauge replacement

Sounds like we have too many companies that start with RT. This is a page from MCG. Don't think that they were in the circuit or electrical side, I don't know. So, it must have been RT something else. Always thought RT Specialties was fasteners, but guess it's more than that. I...

I’m gonna say with those tires it won’t matter much what you do on the clutch side of things and tuning a slick will be all together different. Pick one and focus on that.

    1971 Scamp Build Sheet

Well, the guy that got it from NC in that post took it to TN and that is where I got it. Cool guy, has a lot of mopar A body stuff. I drove by and saw the car in his yard for sale, fits what I am trying to do with a car right now and the 8 3/4 is really the ticket to big block 4 speed greatness...

[WANTED] D4B or Offy 273 intake

Looking for a vintage 273 intake. Surprisingly Offenhauser still makes the 273 manifold but it’s $600! I would like to find a D4B preferably. Thanks in advance.

    17" Magnum 500's

Conversely, I have 85 series tires on my dually and it rides like a buckboard. It seriously has 6 more inches of sidewall than the BMW and I feel every damn crack/hole in the road.

Wasn't me that got it for the money. Cool to see the ads tho. The guy made a good bit of money off of it. Still an okay deal though. It's the 8 3/4 that makes it interesting really.

I've got a 1969 Dart 5.9 magnum, 1634 Oregon cam/Hughes 1199 spring kit, Ede air gap intake, Holley 750dp, Dougs D453's. I read a couple other threads about using a clutch tamer and making sure to use the right clutch (correct clamping pressure for the HP). I'm currently using a Centerforce...

RT Specialties was sold. They made "reproduction"--and I use that term loosely--tachometers. That might be the reason you thought Real Time Engineering got sold.

    Aftermarket gears?

I think the best clutch setup for your car would be a clutch that is very close to the original 340 factory clutch. Which if I remember correctly was a 2300# Borg Beck pressure plate with a rag disc( what we called them back in the day) or to day, an organic disc. You could use a diaphragm...
