I bought these brand new, but haven't had the time or money to work on the barracuda. includes cam and a set of lifters. everything is brand new in the box still. paid 199.99 from summit racing. located in portland, OR looking for 160 obo.

ok so im stuck on what to do with the cam situation. i would like to run the highest amount of lift that i can get away with, but im not sure what that is. .477 lift is for the xe268h and then the xe284h has a .507 lift. does this sound about right if my head are ported and i have the heavy duty...

I still dont know if i should run a different cam with more lift. The heads are supposedly set up for over a .500 lift. I just dont want to put this cam in and find out i want more later.

would this being out of adjustment be causing the car to chug and sometimes die when taking off. Even coming off the freeway and letting it coast when it gets down around 1000rpms it will chug. Im not sure if its the screw or my choke.

im running a 750 avs on my 360 and i only have one screw to control the air/fuel adjustment. The spots where they usually have them are blocked off with plugs. I know he took it all apart because when the cam went bad we found out that the pistons were too small cause the block was a used .30 over with a hone job instead of a fresh .30 over. so i had a whole new block done and a new cam put in. I hate the fact that i chose to go with getting a block...

He told me that he used keith black 10 to 1 pistons with valve reliefs and file fit rings. I think they are forged. when the cam went bad the lifters did too.

i live in portland oregon, this guy is just a backyard mechanic that was introduced through another guy i met. the machine shop told him that the cam went bad because there is no zinc in the oil anymore and now hes telling me that i have to run this 15 dollar additive for the zinc every oil change.

Originally i wanted a good streetable and occasional race motor, but now im wanting to go for mostly race and summer weekend cruising. My car runs like crap most of the time so putting up with a streetable car is no biggy anymore. I just wanna go fast. lol. I would be happy with mid 12's.

Ive got a 360 with KB 10.1 pistons, oregon cam grind 474 lift, avs 750, edelbrock air gap intake,340 exhaust manifolds. i have around 4000.00 into this motor, and im not happy at all. I wish i could just start over. i just purchased a comp xe 268 cam and now i feel like i should have went bigger.

I just had my 360 built a year ago, and im unhappy with the performance. Ive been thinking of starting over and building a 408 or maybe a 412. I know you need a stroker crank. i just want to know how it works to provide more ci. also what clearance work has to be done to the block?

ok so the local shop my buddy got a converter built for his sons car is called "superior converter". anyone heard of them? he said it was 200 bucks to get one built.

my buddy is telling me there is a local place here in oregon that makes custom stall converters. I didnt get a chance to ask him what the company was. but he said it would be like 200 bucks.

i called hughes and they told me that i should run a 3000 stall, but is there brands i should go for or stay away from? they wanted 450 bucks for the hughes too. what should i expect to spend?
