Do you have a point and shoot heat checking gun ? If nt borrow one. Let car idle and check when it is up to temp. When you go to sleep at night take off radiator cap. the system will burp out air. then check it in the morning. bring up to running temp and see what happens. Also do a compression...

I have a 70 Dart Swinger

hook up an independent gauge to the system .disconnect the one in the car and watch what it does. this will tell you if the gauge is good or not. Does the sender match the gauge your using ?

Do you have any badges ?I need the one that says Dart. I have a swinger.

Small bolt pattern

I could be wrong but you could have blown a head Gasket. If you can get a stock Radiator try that with out a shroud. Sorry your having all those problems. Very nice looking Engine compartment. CA friend of mine had that problem and found out the shroud was holding heat back and not letting out.

How low can you go with these? where are you located??

Maybe the shroud is holding back air from flowing thru. Also check your timing,
