    Engine Decoding HELP!!!

Thats what I was hoping... I'm pretty sure the numbers on the car match, but it's hard to PROVE... If my car was built in '66, would it have a higher sequence number on the VIN? or is the sequence number irrelevant?

    Quick header question

Yeah- I've heard that Doug's and TTI are good... Too much coin right now. I've seen Headman, Patriot, Pypes, Flowtek, and some others in my price range. Just don't know which ones to avoid.

    Quick header question

I'm looking at getting headers for my Barracuda (273) and am getting a little confused as to what to look for. I need an affordable option ($250-300 tops), but don't know what the difference in all of the different brands are. What is a good affordable header and what exactly are the most...

    Not an A Body question

I have a 2002 Dakota Quad Cab (4.7l ). I was bummed out to find that it can only tow 4700 lbs. (towing wasn't on my priority list when I bought it) I have been shopping for travel trailers and finding one with a gvw of less than 5000 is difficult. The uvw of a lot of 'em are in the 4000 lb...

    What should I do?

I said "HOPING!!!" - a man can dream, right I figured I'd have to go higher, just trying to keep it in a budget. I could go to 4k if need be.... I've never done this before, so I really didn't know what to put for a budget. Feel free to go nuts with what I could do. I need some guidance on...

    What should I do?

I've posted a couple of questions on FABO before and have always gotten great advice. I have a 67 Barracuda S with the original 273 Commando in it. I recently upgraded the intake (eddy performer) and carb (Holley 570 street avenger) because the previous owner destroyed the originals... Now...

    little 'ol 273

Man, I didn't expect to get this kind of response to my question... Awesome!! I really need to do more research than I first thought. My pockets aren't too deep, but I'm willing to drop the cash when needed - What do you guys think this will cost me, realistically? I want to make sure that I get...

Looking forward to it! Thanks again. Does anyone happen to know of a good place to get all of this done in Southern Ca.? I can do some basic bolt-on work, but I think I'm gonna leave the rebuild to the Pro's.... (Not to mention, I'm limited on garage space!!)

    little 'ol 273

I want it to be a street ride with a little bit of balls.... Not planning on taking it to the track or anything like that. Just want to keep the stock appearance and hopefully not spend a ton of cash...

I have a '67 Barracuda Form S notchback with the stock 273 Commando, Ed. Performer intake/ Holley 570 St. Avenger, 8 3/4, 3.23, dual exhaust. Just got the go ahead from the boss (wife) to get the engine rebuilt. Anyone have advice on what I could do to add performance? Maybe get up to around 300...

    This sucks!

Ummmmm..........yeah.... So I decided to follow some of your advise and put the manifold on and move it back and forth to make markings to identify the points of contact an the underside and... it went right on!!!! Yesterday it was wobbly and had about a 1/4- 1/2 " gap all the way around the...

    This sucks!

OK, so I ordered a Edelbrock Performer (2176) intake for my '67 273 along with a Holley 570 carb... took everything apart and started installing the new combo. The intake wont fit!! It's not the bolt angle/ pattern, it's a bulge on the bottom of the intake. I think its hitting the casting for...

    one more rookie question...

Yes. And Tires are 205/70R/14 front, 245/60RS/14 rear.

    one more rookie question...

It is a notchback, pretty much all stock. I just want it set up for street, gonna stick with the stock 14's 7 up front, maybe 8 in back, don't know the exact size off hand... Don't have actual weight on it, like I said just going off the factory specs ( go ahead and add about 220 for me). Still...

    one more rookie question...

Consider the Performer Grabbed! Thanks for the help, again. As far as the Cam stuff: car weight is approx. 2800 according to factory specs, 727 trans, the previous owner added an 8.75 rear end, but I dont know the gear ratio (if I had to guess, probably 3.23) I'd like 3.55, I'll have to check...
