    Anybody using air shifting

This is how mounted the bottle. I like that it’s consistent. Bottle lasts forever. I turn bottle on in the staging lanes and off on the return road. I’m OCD and like to have a pattern so I don’t forget anything.

    AFR SBM heads (supposedly)

i agree 100%. i have yet to see a TF head perform that would make me want to buy a set. even after they have been sent out for more porting. Bloomers on the other hand i have seen how they perform and i would buy a set, the proof is there on how much better they are. to even argue this is stupid.

    AFR SBM heads (supposedly)

I find it funny there is so much negative comments about the new AFR heads. There wasn’t any negative comments about the trick flow head and was branded the best small block head ever. The people that jumped on that bandwagon still haven’t fallen off. they are all the same head (give or take...

    340 or 408?

there is zero oiling mods done. engine has been together since 2021 and it does see 7400 rpm at the top end.

    DON’T BE FOOLED!

Trickflow will never be as good a the Bloomer heads. TF is a 550-580, maybe 600 HP. from what i have seen the Bloomer heads are no brainer. if i wasn't deep in the W8-9 world, my engine would have a set of Bloomers making well over 700 HP.

    340 or 408?

there is so many ways to achieve 500-550 hp builds with the parts today. for years i had 4'' and 4.125'' strokers. then i switched to smaller cubic inch engines. no real reason other then i buy most stuff used. i now have a 3.875'' stroke W8 engine that will be ready for next year. again i...

    Hood scoop to big?

Bigger the better. 5” six pak scoop. I had to order the 5” (that was the biggest they made) and it was just tall enough to hide the tunnel ram.

    340 or 408?

Yes they bolt small blocks. LA headers do work as long as the heads have dual bolt pattern. I used LA headers for 8 years with W2 heads. The heads are iron.

    340 or 408?

W2's are cheap. look around, you can buy heads, rockers, intake for $2500-3000

do you understand that is class racing? super comp, super gas, and super street. it takes a boatload of skill to compete in those classes. you have to run the number (8.90, 9.90, and 10.90) and the field is extremely tight. i've been involved with a super comp dragster for 3 years and it some...
