I recently purchased an aftermarket torque converter and the input shaft does not slide in all the way. My spline outside diameter is .875" Anybody have one they can mic to confirm this is correct. My tranny is an 84 904 LU out of a Diplomat 32RH with 5 disc front clutch. Thanks for any help.

I'm rebuilding a clutch pack OEM sure grip and not sure if the grooves in the carrier are wear from the bellville washer and friction plate tabs or are machined that way at the factory. If it's wear is there a repair for this? see pics

Putting a car together for the track with what I have in my garage. Tranny is a lockup 999 with low gear set and valve body has the S tube for converter lockup. Has anyone ever had a torque converter made without the TCC? If so would the valve body have to be modified?
