904 front pump bushing?

Got a new Turbo Action converter and it requires use of a babbit lined front bushing.
Is it possible to see enough of the bearing lining of the existing front pump bushing with a flashlight? I rebuilt the tranny a few years ago and don't remember if the bushing is babbit or bronze lined.

You should be able to easily see it

X2, it'll look a lot like a used rod or main bearing.
If you see multiple colors (like babbit and copper) in the main wear area you might consider just replacing it anyway.
Pumps tend to push the converter snout off center and wear more in a limited area, so try and look all the way around it.

I plan on it. I'm lucky, a local tranny shop is close by and I picked up all the seals for $15
