Ah, good points. I figured there was some reason the A bodies had a different size than others, but wasn't sure. And...did the slant 6 have a different fan than the V8? Questions, questions. :)

So here's what I found out. The first hose I ordered didn't fit at all. On the power steering chunk, the hose was bent to the inside which hit the headers no matter how I tried to turn it, and the pump end of the hose seemed to be made to go into the top of the pump, like the Federal pumps do...

Now that you mention it, I believe I do remember that. But that was a long time ago so I can't be sure :-)

On the original bolts, where was the seal?

My wife and I just started working on her project Dart ('75 Sport with a '71 340). It's been 30 years since my last Mopar and I completely forgot about the power steering bolts going through the water jacket. What thread sealer do you folks typically go with? Thanks!

I didn't take it that way at all. I've alive long enough to have a pretty thick skin. Well, some of that *might* be fat, but still... :D

I might be overthinking it, that's a possibility. I just wanted to get the correct one without a lot of running back and forth. I live basically in the middle of nowhere and it's easily an hour to the closest retail parts store.

This helps a lot! It's the same pump as far as I can tell, and I didn't think that the hose would go up like that before going down. I guess it has something to do with making sure there's enough flex in the rubber line when the engine revs? At any rate, I appreciate the photos!

While it doesn't help for my specific setup because your pump is different, I DO appreciate it! Every variation and little bit of knowledge is getting stored in my head. I hope. :) Thanks!

I absolutely will! I think the parts come Thursday, but it may be the weekend before it's installed. It's my wife's Dart and she wants to be the one getting her hands dirty fixing it up. I'm going to be the technical consultant and gopher, which I'm stoked about!

That's where I was looking and where I got the picture from. I just can't see how the bends in those will fit...that's why I was hoping someone would post a picture of their current set up.
