I haven't tried painting it yet, at most I've sanded it smooth and applied epoxy resin to it, both of which worked fine. Online guides say ASA paints just fine like ABS. Thanks, I'm really trying to keep it looking like something that would have come from factory...really confuse the folks at...

I print in ASA and it likes about 90-100c on my printer.

Still learning it, the software can glitch a bit but I can live with it. Overall I’m liking it. I think it will really come in handy on the tail lights

lots of further progress today, got the rebuilt gauge cluster mostly done. I know it looks the same as the prototype, apart from the cutouts for lights, key, etc...but I'm pretty fond of the design I had come up with, so I will likely tweak and improve it a bit but it will mostly be similar.

Update: Finding it hard to directly work with the scan as it's just too damn big, something like 4M+ triangles. It chokes the computers. So instead I'm sort of recreating it in a form I can work with. Note the notches and sort of strange contour on the bottom of the gauge opening is from...

that's exactly what I'm doing, my original gauges was the long wide speedo. I'm converting to all circle gauges

Second scan looks much better, just able to spend more time on it.

I am definately going to make some changes after seeing one done by a guy on YouTube, but honestly the overalll shape is very similar to the original, which uses a combination of curves that intersect at sharp angles

I can't imagine printing a car wheel, that's nuts! Just from a strength perspective, 3d prints can never be as strong as something molded, or vacuum formed, or milled, its just not possible...but if he can make it work that's awesome

Yes, 3d printers run on Gcode, but there are many more parameters specified in printing than cnc. xyz movement of course, but also temperature, acceleration, line height/width, speed, part fan cooling, extruder fan cooling, limiting movements to within printed areas, the list goes on and on...
