    265deh is what it was.

    318 cam

They will still grind the DEH cams, but you have to call and request it. You won't find them listed anywhere anymore. Kinda dumb because they were a good line.

    Help me select a cam

I'd run the 265deh in that so quick. Problem is, it's gonna run like HELL and you're gonna wanna keep it.

    Help me select a cam

The SBM 265DEH hasn’t been discontinued, but it’s no longer in the regular SBM listings. It’s in the back under the “Specialty camshafts” listings....... and it’s now a price code 5. 20-417-5

    Help me select a cam

Then go for the Comp 265deh. That is, IF you can find one. It's on the ragged edge of too big, but it will work fine and give you what you want without all the decision bullshit.

    Cam Selection 360

...several sources, [email protected]"-.454" lift-110*LSA) and it was superb. Another that I have used with great results, using manifolds, is the 265DEH Comp Cams grind (in a 360, 318 use the 255DEH) which gives a good sounding idle and quick torque output with it's 110*LSA. The DEH cams are...

    Engine Build For 1970 Duster

...this is where I would like some guidance. Here is what I have: 1972 360 block, stock pistons, competition cam with the following markings (265DEH-10 YA5688), roller rockers. I also have 3 intake manifolds to choose from (Edelbrock performer 3776, Edelbrock LD340 or Weiand action plus). What...

Stock 318 2 Barrel Cam Choice

Here's a 265DEH in a 318. I think it needs a little more timing and it would have more lope and less chop.

    Another “which camshaft” post

Although I see nothing wrong with your choices and many of the suggestions, I know from experience that the Comp Cams Dual Energy 265DEH works fantastic in such an application. It is designed for minimum mods, like no deep gears or stall converters, and was intended to help vehicles with exhaust...

"Somebody's" 262 grind would be good. OR is you can find one a Comp 265DEH would be fantastic.

    273ci thoughts?

...a KB flat-top (valve reiefs and close-to if not zero deck), you can stand some camshaft. Some of the Street Force Howards cams look good, the 265DEH Comp Dual Energy is a possibility and the old Cam Dynamics Energizer (available white box generic for cheap) 272/.454"/110* is a default for...

Cam choice for low compression motorhome 440

The OP said he don't want a choppy idle, so why a thumper cam ? Id say comps 265deh cause of the manifolds.

    318 camshaft swap 260 duration

Check out the 265DEH Comp. Those grinds have a similar affect as the Thumpr without the extra money attached. They sound nastier than they are, because of the split and they run very well. Sorta like the old Crower Hydraulic Hauler series.

    Cam choices for stock 318's

I like the looks of that 265Deh. That Howard's cam I picked out in my original post is too much you think? It's hard to compare the two. I am on my phone.

...valve train that will run for tens of thousands of miles reliably, be quiet doing it and be fun to drive. That 275DEH will do it. OR if you're afraid that's a little big, back down to the 265DEH, but I think you would like the 275. Here's the 275DEH in a small block.......Chevy. Yeah, I...

Cam choice for low compression motorhome 440

In In truth, if a performance gain is to be had by the proper cam choice I'm sure he would take the idle with it. Lol, he always comments on the sound of my 408 which gas a definite cackle.

    Cam choices for stock 318's

I agree with the 265DEH that rusty recommend. It's design to work with less than ideal exhaust systems. I feel cam choice should be more about what rpm it comes in at than falls off at. Like my car under 2000 rpm it's a bit slug, if I had 4.10 or even 3.55 it won't be a problem. But the...

    1970 Dodge Dart 318 upgrades

Agreed. And the Howards cam might be a noisy one. There are many others that would work almost as good without issues. The Comp 265DEH runs a close second. 211/227° 265/276° .442/.462 109° (Much easier on valvetrain) But the exhaust duration is close to 230°.

    318 300-350 hp goal : now 323 cu.in

With those gears i wouldn't go bigger than comps xe262h with headers or 265deh if running manifolds. Stock 340 cam is similar to xe250h. 318 with 3.91 is similar to 340/3.73 and 360/3.55

What Cam would you suggest with this

I wasn't aware of the factory converter info. Thank you. Will look at the specs of the 265DEH. Thanks
