    65 Barracuda daily driver

I finally pulled the distributor to use that FBO plate to recurve the mechanical advance. At first I noticed that pickup was not parallel to the reluctor. The reluctor was also a bit chewed up. Chances are the pickup wasn't parallel to the reluctor because the plate wasa bent. I have now put...

Get the full line in place before putting any of the clips in. The fuel line also has a bolt down clip in the rear. Alan

    360 oil pan

Geeze, all of a sudden we have a centrifugal supercharger and I saw no mention of the larger capacity truck pan. Well, guess we have this figured out. It sounded like we were just replacing the oil pan on a driver. Sorry for my 'weak' replies.

    71 Duster: Part 2

Continuing the Bucket Seat Saga. I got the first seat back from sandblast and dropped off the second one, and got it all painted up, and the sliders greased up and functioning flawlessly. I also took all the little fittings and hardware from the seats and cleaned the rust off of those and...

    Seat conundrum

Haven't done it personally, but I have seen a number of A bodies that use the Smittybuilt low back Jeep buckets, because they look so much like the A100 seats used in the LO/BO hemi cars. Pretty darned inexpensive, too. They also have high back versions with headrests if that's what blows your...

Top cutting the valve? Are you referring to the back cut, or an additional angle between the seat cut and the margin?

It could be from the cylinder wall but the two guys I was working with could never nail it down. We thought the steeper seat angle should have allowed the air to be “stood up” for lack of a better term. In fact, this all started because I was doing a bunch of 50 degree stuff and some 55’s and...

best way to repair twin scoops

Well...we should have cleared the "shoulder" season on fuel RVP. It usually starts around mid-September when the producers switch to the higher RvP winter fuel. But consider that for the warm weather States, we need the low RVP stuff a lot longer. So if they don't have any, I know...

And honestly, they're not that elaborate. Some people will flame me for this, but if you have even basic metalworking skills, you could bend one up in (probably) about half an hour. Just make a cardboard template first. Only major issue is locating the shifter hole (round on a '65) properly...
