The blanket will not make your tranny run hotter and you will get airflow between the blanket and tranny. Use the Allstar blanket.

Run the low gear set. I installed a 2.77 first/1.57 second gears in my friends 904,. he runs a 410 small block 68 baracuda and he picked up a tenth in 60 foot alone and over .15 in the qtr mile. His 60s went from 1.45 to 1.35.

I run a 904, usually get 4 seasons (600 passes) out of it before it wears out the clutches. I also run a 2.77 first gear.
