Who makes quality lower ball joints?

Now that @72bluNblu mentioned it. My pitman arm is also different than the list: (103-10015) Proforged Chassis Parts 103-10015 Proforged Pitman Arms | Summit Racing

Who makes quality lower ball joints?

Oh, they do make an idler arm! Hmm... I checked it out it's for 1967 - 72 A-bodies. I wonder though, if I can make it work on my 1974? Everything else is the same thing I used except the T-Rod sleeve. The one I got is from QA1, 11/16 thread. Here it is in comparison to OEM sleeves in the second...

Who makes quality lower ball joints?

I've also used Proforged products to great affect: Lower Ball Joints, Tie-rod ends and steering Pitman arms. Sadly they didn't make Idler arms so I had to get Oreilly's "Master-pro" brand Idler arm. We'll see how it goes.

what is the most Desirable A body line

I wouldn't mind a 1969 Valiant at all especially 2 door... But they seem to be even harder to find than the 67-69 Barracuda fastbacks.

what is the most Desirable A body line

How about a Valiant / Peterbilt combo? (Hopefully most of you will get it)

what is the most Desirable A body line

Hmm... I like Dusters 70-72's are great 73 and up are still decent looking. I do like Demons as well, Dart sports are alright. I do really like the 67-69 Barracuda's, mainly the fastbacks. That said I've had some people ask me if it's a dart or if that is a demon. There are some that recognize...

    17" Magnum 500's

Man Bewy, you're about as dense as a 3 foot thick lead wall. This thread is about 17 inch wheels that the OP is interested. He is not interested in your baseless, useless opinion that is sprinkled with stupid bullshit. IS the thread titled "17 inch vs 15 inch rims?" NO! You don't like 17 inch...

    17" Magnum 500's

So here goes... I have 17 inch rims. I have 245/45R17 on the front and 275/40R17 on the rear. I have 1.03 PST torsion bars. With QA1 Shocks on the front. QA1 TN501 QA1 Stocker Star NA Shocks | Summit Racing The rear has the Bilstein RCD's. I've daily driven this car with this setup for thousands...

    La360 and 727

Yes, rebuild that 904. Sure a 727 is stronger but not necessarily the better option. As stated before, you'll have to sort out a torque converter, and on top of that you'll need to shorten your driveshaft. A 904 with a good HP rebuild kit can handle a mild 360 easy. Heck the guy who helped me...

Restomod or Original OEM style?? - Feedback Appreciated!

Holy crap! It's that much now? I haven't checked on it's price since I bought it in 2016. Jeez, I remember when it was only around $500 at the time. "Adjusted for inflation" sheesh.

Restomod or Original OEM style?? - Feedback Appreciated!

This 100% My factory V8 K-member was a lost cause, cracks everywhere, I had the same with a crack on the steering box mount. I tried fixing the LCA pivot mounts only to find more cracks. Yes I could've got another good factory one from out of state, after searching for a month the best deal I...

Restomod or Original OEM style?? - Feedback Appreciated!

So here's a little background info on my car and current setup. My 74 Duster was originally a Slant 6, base everything model. The previous owner stuck a V8 K-member in it, and gave me a 318 with an A904 transmission with it on the side. Both needed rebuilt. I decided to go a different route...

    La360 and 727

As Prof. Fate stated smallblock A727's as well as V8/V6 904's all share the same bolt pattern If you're lucky and can find one, an A998 or A999 out of a 1980's M-body or 2WD Dakota is a great transmission as well. They're basically beefed up 904's with wide ratio gears.

    Sick 66 trip updates.

Pretty cool! I do plan on doing a long road trip in my duster one of these days. I mean longer than 800 miles that is.

    Boise on fire

Yup! Pine and juniper as well, especially when it's dry and hot. And sagebrush stinks like no other when it burns too. Worse than burning cow ****. And if you get any of that sage smoke on your clothes... Hoo boy! People really avoid you, lol.

    Ebay/amazon paint supplier?

Summit has some decent ones. The Summit brand paints I've used before with pretty good results, I believe a lot of it is Kirker. They also sell House of Kolor stuff. As well as Evercoat primers and Spraymax stuff. I've also used this website as well: Auto Body Tools & Body Shop Supplies | Auto...

    So how sad is this

Oh yeah, can't forget a fellow A-Body owner that came out of the 90's. KWS (Kenny Wayne Shepard), still enjoy his music to this day.

    So how sad is this

Hah! You think the 90's were bad? I tried listening to some of the crap that came out the past ten years, even alot of the new "country" music nowadays is junk!

    So how sad is this

Believe it or not that wet spot underneath that truck was actually from the A/C. Yes, it still had a functioning AC system with R12 refrigerant in it.

    So how sad is this

I'm nearly 46. As I get older my tolerance for stupidity has shortened quite a bit, but at the same time I'm also more content. I remember tinkering on old GM's and Pontiacs with my brother when I was in my teens and early 20's. As well as tinkering with my first car: A 1984 Dodge Ramcharger. I...

    904 vs 999

Hmm.... My A999 is pretty snappy, HOWEVER. My A999 has a 3000 stall converter and is converted to non-LU with a Turbo action Cheetah Stage 2 valve body. So basically the best of both worlds?

76 340 duster overheating at idle

Agreed. I had a similar problem with mine. Even with the aftermarket radiator, my 360 would slowly overheat in heavy traffic or standing still. It was only going at 30 mph+ that it would start cooling down. My 360 has 10.2 compression with a 750 Street Demon carb (with the phenolic fuel bowl)...

    1970 Chevelle 396

What?! Why not 1973 chevelles, they are a thing of beauty! Look at this beaut! :poke:  Just like the 1975 Chargers, aren't they awesome? No I'm kidding, these things were sad endings of the 1960-70's muscle car era.

Not sure if you knew or not. If you're upping the Amps you might want to update the engine charge circuit wiring.

1st. If that Battery has been sitting there for over 3 years not being charged or or even tended to. I would be getting another battery, soon. It may work for now but it'll flake out on you in a short amount of time. 2nd. (pic is kinda hard to see) Is the Carb original or does have an...

    Which Fram Oil Filter.

I wouldn't even touch the Tough Guard or Extra Guard. Fram Synthetic Endurance and to a lesser extent the Ultra Synthetic are the only somewhat decent ones and I would use them, IF I was desperate. But for basically the same money or spending a couple bucks more you can be buying better oil...

Did Facebook kill the Car Forums - Hagerty

Facebook is pretty much dead to me anyways. But I've been in a few Mopar groups then, but no more. It's chock-full of know-it-all 20 somethings who'll argue with you then go into a screeching meltdown when you prove them wrong with facts. I mean there are a few of the young'ins that give me hope...
