Is it a "New & Improved" Dextron type of fluid?

What be it? I am looking at a companies web site that sells torque convertors and seen it mentioned. Just kinda wondering....:happy1:

I understand the benefits of synthetic fluids. Any motor that I have gotten fresh has had synthetic oil in it. Use synthetic wheel bearing grease & gear oil as well. But ATF I just have a hard time with. Spoke to my buddy that owns a trans shop about it. He would not go any further than saying...

What is the width of the pan, both at the bottom and the lip???

Anybody use one? Opinions? I know it is an "off-road" diff. but it for people that drive there big tired car on the street would allow you to use a "normal" size tire on the rear in case of a flat.

Will be needing to order axles and a center section for my car soon. Is Mark Williams worth the substantial price difference between themselves and Strange? 9" center section from M/W was quoted damn near $2500, a touch over $1500 from Strange. Axles from M/W were $703, from Strange $439.20.

anyone know anything about it? was looking at the Strange Engineering web site and noticed they have them listed.

noticed most of them make note of needing to use the trans brake button to get into reverse. do you need to hold the brake button to keep the car in reverse? if so, is there a way get around it? read somewhere about a toggle switch in series with it or something but can't remember....

anybody ever use any of there adapters?

what is everybody doing for them?? plumbed inline with the radiator? mounted in front of the radiator? heard of a few people tucking them inside the fender, just in front of the tire so as not to impede air flow into the radiator. this sounds a bit risky on a street car. any random thoughts?

been reading about 518 swaps here and there. also been reading about low band apply issues with a 727. does the 518 have the same issues as the 727, the potential for the big bang theory?

:read2:read the sticky about exploding torqueflights. just want to make sure i read it right, if the trans freewheels in low gear, low band is not applying and this is going to be a problem? so, if you were to use turbo actions valve body #17675 that states full engine braking you would be ok??
