Thanks for everyone’s help… after fuel pump, fuel filter, ballast resistor and lots of carb cleaner, I finally checked the plugs. They were filllllthy black, so I got a new set threw them in, poured a large dose of fuel in the carb and it finally kicked over and kept running. I don’t know if it...

It was dying so fast it was hard to tell if it was dying as soon as I let go of the key, it was a really old ballast resistor and cheap to replace so I went for it, but no luck.

It’s seems it’s getting fuel… I installed a new clear fuel filter between the fuel pump and the carb and it’s half full of fuel

I do not have the heads yet.. a friend of a friend has a set that has never been used... I’ll have to find out if my 318 used flat tappet lifters or hydraulic roller... i’m trying to do this in my garage on my own with the engine still in the car... is this going to be a worthy upgrade...

Can someone tell me... Do the CH318B's bolt right up to an LA318? Do you have to run different pushrods still? any other modifications?

Few questions...Will these bolt on with 7/16 studs? How thick are they? What is the centerbore?

That was my guess when looking at what was available... Was 2.76 the most common on auto 318's in 1968?
