    Stock Market

JMO Non institutional/retail are still a school of minnows in shark infested waters. One of the biggest change has been the adoption of options strategies and the delta hedging required by Market Makers to remain delta neutral. Look at what happens when the reddit apes get going on AMC/GME...

Anyone Running the Oregon #1341 Regrind?

The oregon and lunati are so close to each other duration wise you likely wouldn't know the difference in each at idle. Going to likely have the same personalities when running. The Oregon cam will run a bit stronger through the range with .040 more lift

    Cam Experts: Lobe Separation Angle?

Most cars are a 10 flat drive train tied to a 12.50 chassis = 11 second car. The good stuff 60's like a 9.5 car and runs 10.50 on an 11.00 drive train. Stock elim guys are good at this type of deal. Light car - 68 A body, old school 214/224 .450ish lift cam with a really nice set of 915 iron...

    Cam Experts: Lobe Separation Angle?

A lot of that last paragraph is that they had a box to work within. Engineers chose a path. How do you think a 340 built to HP would have run with a cam similar to a 30/30 chevy solid. A 440 with a LS6 style solid? Would have been an entire different crying game from the bowtie crew. Being...

    Cam Experts: Lobe Separation Angle?

He forgot to mention that it was for a potential blower motor in the original post. That little tidbit is really important. LMAO Leaving it out, with the recommended LSA, raises lot of questions from people that have been building engines for 4 decades+. You don't have to cut cams for a...

    Cam Experts: Lobe Separation Angle?

If you have a 110 or a 114 lsa camshaft, the intake closing point when installed straight up (110 and 114) is earlier on the 110 all else being equal. If you compress a taller cylinder, the pressure should be higher. A 106 will close even earlier, more cylinder pressure.

    Cam Experts: Lobe Separation Angle?

Based on what the OP put up first, then says Oh I was going to put a blower on it, makes the cam recommended by Ken sensible. Carry on about how the 4 speed cam was so great. They were small, like most every mopar camshaft, compared to the other majors at the time. Dinky stuff. The majors...

    Cam Experts: Lobe Separation Angle?

They did two LSA models, one was a 108 (good) the other a 114 (POS)

    Cam Experts: Lobe Separation Angle?

Now the whole situation and recommendation basis out. 114, nope not in a low compression NA engine. Mopar did a 114 LSA 484 or 508 camshaft, biggest POS ever cut

[Found!] Hood Hinges for 72 Dart

Look at your hood. Factory set up was If the mounting holes are on an adjustment slider, you want the single hole hinges. If the mounts are solid, you want slotted hinges for adjustment. IIRC, you can use the slotted/slider together. I believe 70-71 had the single hole, 72 was the slotted.

    Run Stand or Engine Dyno

How did DIY people ever survive with start in the car and bring up the RPM to break in a cam. There was never a load on them when doing it in the car. Yes, it's better to load/unload to help the rings. Don't run it pig rich and get the timing right. Not sure how you are going to load an auto...

    Holley Retrobright Price Match

I always appreciate Dan and his input regarding this topic. Bright doesn't equate to good when it comes to headlights. Think about it like a flashlight that you can focus the beam. A lower wattage focused beam/light can be much more effective than a bright one that scatters light everywhere...

    Hot restart issues.

Crank, maybe not fire. If it struggles to crank, likely has something happening with ignition in the chamber. Funny that the guy saying this stuff also says that MSD aren't sensitive to voltage. I'm out. Simple diagnosis stuff, pull coil wire, try it, add a jumper try it. Hillbilly stuff...
