I have a return line on my Sniper.

    318 MAX fuel economy builds?

Higher temperatures vaporize more fuel -- good for fuel economy. Lower temperatures facilitate slightly higher VE at WOT -- good for WOT. I tried heating the intake air on carb and PFI engines. I found warmer air helped MPG in wet flow (carb/TBI), but cold air and heated fuel actually worked...

Fuel pressure dropping while driving and under acceleration to zero at idle runs 4 lb electric Blue

I have a quick question for anyone. I have a chance to buy a Mallory 250, but I noticed in the instructions that it said a minimum of- eight fuel line return and supply. I'm running a 3/8 return and a 3/8 supply. You think that will hurt this pump or should I get one that's smaller?

    Fuel tank vent.

Now there is a way you can use that return line to the sender from the engine compartment.... There is a 3 port fuel filter that is designed to redce vapors in the fuel. (to reduce vapor lock) Another use would be to put a return line pressure regulator to help with the same. BUT...Be sure the...

Fuel pressure dropping while driving and under acceleration to zero at idle runs 4 lb electric Blue

I prefer to run a separate return line and not use the bypass at the pump. It’s more work to do it that way, but IMO you want the pressure drop at the regulator and not the pump.

Fuel pressure dropping while driving and under acceleration to zero at idle runs 4 lb electric Blue

Yes it's a Holley blue pump with a fuel lab regulator with a return.

I was noticing on that fuel pump as a return line. Hoe was only quarter inch so I may be in good shape

Fuel pressure dropping while driving and under acceleration to zero at idle runs 4 lb electric Blue

Do you still have the original bypass spring in there?? I can’t remember if they were 13 or 11 psi. Either way, it’s pretty low for running a return line.

    Fuel tank venting

As mentioned above, I would go with the original vent tube into the engine bay and connect it to the "carbon can" system. The carb would vent to it too. I would go that route, you just need the second fuel line.

    Tuning Street Demon carb

I bought a Summit brand kit of Holley carb jets for the secondaries on my Street Demon because I wanted to richen it up but something seems off. I went from the stock #86 to #88 jets and my AFR is about the same or possibly even leaner. Before that I had 54x38 metering rods and #87 jets in the...

Just as slow as before my mods..

Not to mention they physically work better that way too! Having a long rubber line feeding back to it is asking for bouncing or pulsing pressure. Mechanical regulators don't like momentum. I bet there's something screwy going on with it, either being used as a return regulator with a sketchy...

    Dipshit Fuel Line Question

Are the fuel lines from early to late A bodies the same shape? Say from 63-70 before all the hoorah EPA crap? I love bending my own hard line, but from the tank to the pump is a little long. ....and what about the vapor return? Is there one that will bolt on and work for a 64 Valiant for a solid...

How would you run the return ??

That’s what I was thinking. I know my arm won’t fit in that sending unit hole. When I added the sump on my tank I also added a return line fitting. Since I had the welder out I just welded a fitting in. If you can get your hand in there to get to the nut on the bulkhead fitting that is his...

Fuel pressure dropping while driving and under acceleration to zero at idle runs 4 lb electric Blue

What I was trying to explain in a earlier post I used an old highly regulator turn wide open as a t to supply both of my four-barrel carburetors. The fuel lab is designed for a return. I'm going to try to block the return line and run the supply line into a large container and see if I can get...

Curious, fuel tank pickup hole size/options

I currently have this - FiTech Gas Tank Return Line Bung Kit, For Fuel Injection - No Welding | eBay - I don't think it requires any sort of welding/brazing. Fuel pressure dropping while driving and under acceleration to zero at idle runs 4 lb electric Blue

I will check that fuel pressure as you suggested and see what it is. I was just told today by an old guy that the reason you don't have fuel pressure is cuz it's free flowing. It's flowing around and around and around with the return line. I have a 3/8 supply and a 3/8 return. So when I took the...

Exhaust proximity to fuel lines etc

look up the "slant 6 fuel line mod" to get an idea on what the factory did there, how modern gas doesnt like it, and what people did to remedy that then consider how to carry it over to your application IMHO the best thing you can do is install a return style fuel system to keep fuel...

Fuel pressure dropping while driving and under acceleration to zero at idle runs 4 lb electric Blue

I had a little bit of time to look at it. I took the pump apart and checked the screen. Everything looks fine in it. Put it back together. I set the fuel pressure at 5 and 1/2 and it stays at 5 and 1/2 island. But as the RPMs go up past 2000 idling the fuel pressure will drop. I'm not sure what...

Ok, help me out here. Refresh my memory. This is a Holley pump with a return line correct??? I don’t know why (other than I’m getting older) but it occurred to me that when I started bypassing fuel with those pumps I always either went into the pump and blocked off the internal bypass with a...
