Approximately 6 or 7 years ago I upgraded T-bars on my 71 340 duster. Big improvement in ride and handling. That was step one. Next thing was new bilstien shocks on all four corners. Another significant improvement. Probably the bigger of the two. Couldn't really believe the improvement. I...

Suggestions for new design Aluminum Mopar SB clean slate (kind of) cylinder heads

I’m pretty sure that the number one priority for the new BP head will be………how well it fills the needs BP has for it. Everything else is secondary.

[WANTED] Aftermarket wheels, 17" (maybe 18) BBP

Yeah, the axle is a trouble spot. I run an F-Body 8.25" because it is about the same width as a '65-67 B-Body and it work well. But a stock A-Body axle of any size might have a problem with the +30 wheels. I was kind of focused on the front setup and forgot about the rear axle until the end...

[WANTED] Aftermarket wheels, 17" (maybe 18) BBP

He might have an 8.25 rear being a 73 and those are even more narrow. At the very least a spring relocation may be required.

    Intake perfect fit without gaskets.

I had to do the same exact on my 360. Speedmaster heads, and RPM air gap. Took off .030 thou and used the Edelbrock gasket. Bolted right up after that. I don’t know how much was milled off the deck, but the H116cp pistons now stick out .003 above the deck. Someone on here (or somewhere else)...

[WANTED] Aftermarket wheels, 17" (maybe 18) BBP

I agree. Been a bunch of years but I bought some 17x8 wheels for a '97 GT and spent $90 in total for all 4. They don't match (different color in the spokes) but most people don't notice. You would have to open up the center a little and might have to run a 1/4" spacer and longer wheel studs...

Here are a few more observations on my Bilstein installation: The nut on the top of the front shock is metric. This is understandable considering where they come from, but it annoyed me because I don't carry metric tools. More annoying was the fact it was a Nylock nut. Personally, I tend to...

Suggestions for new design Aluminum Mopar SB clean slate (kind of) cylinder heads

He said the same thing about my flow numbers also, but I didn't pay it any attention. The set of W2s I did ran 6.80s at 101 mph in the 8th, on a pump gas, stock stroke 340, in a full street duster, so i figured they did just fine. They were mostly just mildly bowl ported, very little actual port...

My search for a shorty D100 is over

Nice score! I had a 78 D100 SL6 3 on the tree about 15 or so years ago. It was very difficult to keep up with traffic and the slow shifting a 3 on the tree requires made it even more difficult. I have a feeling you'll be swapping it out sooner than later down in socal.

Now we have Bloomer porting a speedmaster/steven sun aluminum china head, with conventional ports, no offset rockers, and seemingly making W2 power. I haven't had a set in my hands or on my bench, but I'd be skeptical.

Well it has been cold and very windy today. The wind would go right through you. Meant to tell you that on Sunday in Toronto they had a Santa Clause Parade. Suggestions for new design Aluminum Mopar SB clean slate (kind of) cylinder heads

I’m hip. Guys live and die by CFM but the W2 will out horsepower ANY conventional head. Period. The W5 is better than the W2. I also no longer discuss flow numbers on much of anything because guys who only port one type of head never see what other heads do. And then they never dyno anything...
