    71 Duster: Part 2

Seat Number 2 done. This one didn't come out as clean as the passenger side one, the covers were pretty stretched out and tired. And a good bit dirtier. They will pass for a season though until i can afford new foam and 70 duster specific covers from legendary.

Creak/Pop In the Front End of My Swinger

The problem with putting it on jack stands is, it likely will no longer make the noise, because the weight is off the tires. The weight really needs to be on the tires to really duplicate properly.

Creak/Pop In the Front End of My Swinger

Thanks Rusty. I will do exactly that (I think I have a 24 inch piece of rebar that I can use as the poor man's "stethoscope"). I wish I had a lift but maybe I can just get the whole front up on jack stands.

some of us do more than just drive to the ice cream stand. also, a list of the items adjacent to you in the shop does nothing to shore up your bonafides. your displeasure with the experience you had is noted, but don't push the narrative that the shocks aren't a viable upgrade for others...

Looks like the car show at the casino I missed out on… stupid job that pays for my Dart’s needs lol. They usually have a decent sized turnout there

Creak/Pop In the Front End of My Swinger

Ok. Then here's how to find it. You can do it on the ground but it would be easier on a lift like a drive on or an alignment rack. Get a LONG 3/8 drive extension and with someone in the car duplicating the noise, place the end of the extension on each ball joint and put the other end against...

Nice demon to chop up. Hurts to see them sawsalling it. I get the reasoning of start with a solid piece.

Yes. When I turn the wheel in park or with the brakes on. Also, it makes the sound when the engine is off and I turn the steering wheel.

  22. NC Engine Builder

    Bad engine miss

Exactly. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find a valve tight due to fuel varnish from sitting. Especially on a fresh build, where the clearance is much tighter than some 150k mile used engine

Creak/Pop In the Front End of My Swinger

No recent changes. It just started. No modifications in the front end beyond those weird strut rod bushings that have been on there for more than 20 years. Makes the sound if I turn the wheel with the engine off.

Suggestions for new design Aluminum Mopar SB clean slate (kind of) cylinder heads

That’s not what he’s saying. He’s correct. You can’t do any more than what you are getting out of castings who’s architecture was set in stone in the very early 1960’s. That **** is obsolete. A B1 is a 1980’s design. It’s 40 years old. It’s unreal how ******* stone headed and *** backwards...

I know I could do a full-on front end rebuild and this would probably go away, but I'd feel like an idiot if I didn't figure out what has failed first.
