Where to get a Six Pack carb replated like original

I would have them all plated at once this way you guarantee a match. I had one set plated about 10 years ago and the other 2 years ago. The sets are clearly different.

440 build working with what I’ve got

.590 cam is a beast. I made 643 HP in a 505 with Trick Flow heads. too much for your setup. Try the .528 you'll be much happier

    Factory Adjustable Rockers

Now that you have decent flowing heads I would go a bit larger on the camshaft to reap the benefit.

    440 Cam selection help

Keep this in mind. The Mopar specific grinds are very noisy. The XE275HL sounds like a mechanical cam. Very aggressive ramps for a FT hydraulic.

    440 Cam selection help

The Mopar .528 will make 30-40HP over the XE274H. Its a very nice cam for the street. I run one in my 440 now. You can run stock rockers with the XE274H. I have run two motors with the XE275HL with no problems. .525 lift 231-237 @.050

Rebuild 915 heads or go aluminum?

Keep this in mind. If you buy aluminum heads you still have to have them checked out!!! Dont run anything out of the box. I bought my Stealths for $1000 and still had to have $450 worth of work.....recut seats....checking guides.....replacing retainers and locks. Now days with prices up to $1499...

    440 purchase

You cant do a compression test with a breaker bar!!!!! Oil the cylinders and top end then get a starter on it. Squirting a little oil in the intake and exhaust ports will help.

The rockers and intake are worth more than what you paid. Plus the heads are most likely machined for double springs! Tach drive distributor and early chrome valve covers.....score

    440source rockers now available

Here are original Cranes. They have the same grooves and oil holes. They were always a very strong rocker arm. If the 440 source are anything like the originals you'll be fine! There were also Crane knock offs made by Elgin or Crane made them for Elgin.

Can't get Pro Parts headers to fit.

Schumacher sells a shim pack. The kit should come with a bunch of shims that fit under the mount. Different sizes which add up to over 1" of shims.
