personally id call dynamic, ultimate or ptc and see what they could build for you. may cost a little more but you'll be happier in the long run. i run a dynamic 9 1/2" converter behind a real mild 360,904 and 3.23 rear end. an efficient converter runs awesome.

Really does not matter which coil, but for the stock look the Pet III goes in the coil holder and you can use the original electric coil wire. the GM you have to find a spot. As long as it has around .03 ohms you are ok. Like RRR said get it running first if your curve is wrong it won't help...

Caltrac noise can be eliminated with a short rubber tarp strap. Wrap the spring and bar at the rear so it is not noticable behind the wheel. Rattle is gone.
