Finally Tired of Antics on Graveyard Cars

Oh no! He is a man that only restores cars to make money at it! What a terrible guy! He isn’t wrong. If you send him a rusted and incomplete car that looks like this: The rust repair, bodywork and paint alone could total up to more than the car could ever get if you sold it. Add on drive...

    Another bulb doesn't work question

'75 Duster, both my dome light and my glovebox light have the same issue, both have power to the socket, but the bulbs (new) don't light. Bulbs are setting firmly in the socket and are the correct bulb numbers. Any ideas what's going on, besides the bulbs not?

Yes, I will be getting a different converter as the previous owner tried one and it help with the current cam and setup. So, definitely needed. Also, seat pressure does need to increase with a new cam Trickflow heads are at 240lbs. Will be adding .060 shims to get the seat pressure up to...

This is from DR Diff website I will try and call him tomorrow. New, reproduction 8 3/4" clutch sure-grip ("powr-lok") includes upgraded EN353 cr-mo 1 piece 30 spline side gears and spider gears. These are not the same units offered by others. Each unit is bench tested to ensure 100-120 ft...

    Timing Mark Dilemma

Dot to dot is ALWAYS the way I do it simply because it is far easier to see when they are properly aligned. Just turn the crank one turn, and you are on TDC again, no1 ready to fire. Another thing, and Rob maybe you know? "Back in the day" cams were often checked at "split...

Those connectors come apart. Can you clean them up and use the connector housings? Just remove the terminals and stick the new wires into the old housings?

I have no experience with the Mod manifolds. But, with that huge, open plenum, I can understand why a single carb application is dog ****. Dual carbs might be better.

FWIW-the Bullet or smaller Comp get my vote. Overlap is 57.5 and 60.5 (respectively) compared to your current cam at 45. The Crower doesn’t look much different than your current one at first glance, but does increase overlap to 53 with more lift (dunno about valve springs with added lift and...

1965 Valiant LS Swap Final Update

Hey all, so I finally got the Valiant up and running, and I've been semi-daily driving it for around the last four months. I made a couple posts a while back detailing the build, and since then I've been mainly tackling exhaust and other small things. I was able to make the S10 LS Swap...

I agree 100%. Man, you have no idea how many rear axles I've done in my lifetime. It seems everywhere I've worked I've been the only one that knew how to do them correctly, so I got them all. They all just kinda run together. LOL

And after checking mine tonight when I got home, I'm curious I'd there is enough meat there to work with. I'm thinking the runners may need to be built up where they meet the flange. It is a shame the Modman from Indy get such poor reviews. This scenario leads one to wonder which is the...

Maybe so without porting. Would take more than a "simple" port match. Getting that deep into it, I would have the gasket grooves welded up, then start the porting process.

    8 3/4 Sure grip information

Wow. That seems rather low. I've seen some specs show 800 foot pounds at the axle. That was like form some of the Moroso Brute Strength (clutch type) units. So 100-120 seems low and certainly 25. Does Dr Diff specify whether he tests at the axle or pinion? Regardless, I would certainly respect...
