Those look like 9-inch drum brakes, note the top ball joint boss is twisted so I would say 9-inch brakes.

Save those bumper overrides (or whatever they call them) they were an option.

At some point they also put a partial VIN on the right (passenger) side of the block towards the rear of the block, stamped into a machine pad. This is not on the earlier engines.

Anybody have a parts book to get a part number and then see if any of the NOS dealers might have one.

The stamping on the block by the alternator bracket mount will tell you if the block was a 225 or a 198 originally. Clean the area off and see if you can read it.

Nice flywheel I see they come in small and large hub pilot.

Bad ground somewhere, weird things like this are almost always bad grounds. Could also be a headlight bulb with a filament shorted to the other side.

They still do I saw an email recently about their support for the trades. While there are somethings, I won't buy from them they have come a long way with quality, they will never match say Snap On but some of their stuff today is as good as Craftsman.

I don't think the diff gears are available anymore in the aftermarket, I will look up the original part numbers for you tomorrow and you can check with a couple of parts dealers that have NOS stock and maybe they might have them.

They normally get removed through the passenger side door with a cherry picker.

Also be careful that any hubs you buy haven't had the studs just pressed out without the swedge being cut off first, because the stud holes will be enlarged and will not be able to press in new ones. I know the early A van/trucks used an adapter plate and a crank spacer to adapt the slant to a 727 for a V8, in case you didn't know.

Used is the only option that I know of.
