    Soĺ Cal fires

We were arguing the same thing and I was clearly trying to point that out. More context about the current wind driven fire situation: A Santa Ana fire is caused by a high pressure system in eastern California deserts. The sw part of the system spills over the mountains toward the sea all while...

A stock tuned 69 440 Dart or Barracuda with headers and slicks is capable of mid to high 12's in the 1/4.

Feel like my 440 should be faster

It’s basically a stock 440 with stock gearing and a big cam. Add in low compression and I could see it being sluggish.

and yet... you take the bait. just like the last time. and the time before. and the time before that. you two argued about the exact same ****. it's just... tiresome. but enjoy your discourse, whatever that may be. also it's Kruger. just like, fyi.

When I bought my Duster it had a stock 440 with 8.5-1 compression,Edelbrock performer intake and Edelbrock 750 carb. Comp XE 274 cam and Schumacher tri y headers. Underwhelming to say the least. Stock 452 heads would be the single biggest detriment to power IMO.

For those who have never set foot in SoCal they will never understand. As a Surveyor you go where you have to go and will find a way. I've cut brush, trees etc. live or dead with machetes, brush hooks or if vegetation is dead ( likely ) stomp and move on. Clients ***** about cost developing...

    Soĺ Cal fires

I apologize for playing part in that but I clearly tried to chalk this up as miscommunication. We truly were making the same points about these types of fires but in his usual form ol’ 72 wants to argue somebody down. Whether it’s torsion bars or Santa Ana winds. I’m just not going to take his...

Let's just say a tuned smog 440 with a set of headers should put you in the back seat of an A-Body when you let the hammer down.

Do not know the piston/cylinder wall clearance but I want to say my ring gap was .020-.023ish. It was on the wide end of the spec I remember that. 3.23 came with the car, I would like to get into some 3.73 or 3.91 27.05 rear tire height Not sure on weight So far I’ve taken it up to about 5500...

Thoughts on early vs. late Slants.

Getting good lobes from Comp is easy, You just have to know what to ask for, they can grind one that has .903 specific ramps that require valve springs You could pull the ole' Valli up on w/o coil binding them....the question still remains, what will happen to the pump gear....?....

Same. I thought it was because I was just retarded and had to re-read it twice. Fortunately, I realized I am just tired, not 'tarded.

Read the list twice and didn't see what heads. I'd run a double pumper. Is this "feeling" off the seat of your pants test drive? No way for us to know if it's in the ballpark or not without knowing something about how you determine slow.
