    Power Valve Selection

Using the centerline method I got the cam shaft degreed in properly. I believe I got the intake vacuum leak issue nipped in the butt and was able to not only start the car but did drive it into storage before the snow came. It appears I need to have the choke come off sooner, so I will work on...

    Soĺ Cal fires

My mother just got a call from her cousin in Altadena (Eaton fire): They haven't lost the house yet, but they evacuated early this morning. All are safe, including their pets (2 dogs and a cat). More apropos to this forum though, they had "numerous" cars in offsite storage (I know of at least...

Lightweight flywheel options and selection criteria.

Yup, if I had to get something out of tight corners I’d have a 30 pound wheel. I grew up when 50 pound flywheels were standard stuff in the drag racing classes I care about. Today a 4 inch stroke is normal. Even a 3.5 inch stroke would have been considered LONG by Modified Eliminator engines...

Finally get to pretend I am one of the cool kids - Holley kit swap

Agreed, it was just a random idea. Not too later for you to swap to an HC water pump though. :poke: I really do think it would bolt on and line up. But I don't know what I don't know. So you might need to take the bullet for the rest of us and try it out.

    Intake Fitment

I was able to get the intake back from the machine shop and installed. It appeared that everything lined up and sealed up well. I did two cold starts. First one initially after everything was back together., which I knew would be bad due to degreeing the cam shaft so I didnt think that start...

The inflatable ones are more effective and harder for them to get at ... I'm just glad that my pup is chill enough to leave things alone... But that's the breed. She's a bit of shepherd but has more the mastiff personality

I don’t need to prove anything. I don’t care who thinks it can be done, or not. Keep doing what you are doing because it’s working for you.

It was an unexpected obstacle. If a guy is gonna block the filter (Not sure that's possible), he might as well just run the remote filter kit. I think it's actually cheaper than the 90.

    disc brake dust shields

The coating dries to the touch. Dirt will collect anywhere that it can land and stick to so from my experiences, everything is subject to the need to clean sometimes, even powder coated or painted parts.

It absolutely 100% without a doubt is a real problem. It’s likely that 80% of guys will never get to the point of dealing with it, that I believe, but it most definitely is a real problem.
