    New EQ Head port misalignment?

I would endorse that. Even if they show cracks on the surface. You'll just have to hope they crack farther. That's the thing about cast iron. You just never know. I hope you find some uncracked ones, though. They're out there. You might even try Allied Cylinder Head. They have reman Magnum heads...

Last one to post in this thread wins!

Well, we didn’t order it after all. Yet…. Backstory: We have a number of old and/or half-dead white oak trees (oak wilt) on our little 3 acres here, and even more windfalls, and I need (“want”, really) a 25" bucking saw to go with my Stihl MS 250 with 18” bar, as it just isn’t big enough to cut...

    I’m getting old

The problem is that in the past there were plentiful factory jobs. In the motor city people would come from other states to feed the car companies. With the unions, if you somewhat kept you nose clean you could have a career, raise a family and retire to a good life. But now with overseas...

    New EQ Head port misalignment?

But you used the bolt holes in the heads, right? If both heads are placed on a block, then the intake is placed on the heads with no bolts, we can see where the intake will "sit" on the heads and if the ports line up with intake. Again, ignoring the bolt holes. if everything lines up pretty...

    Soĺ Cal fires

I've seen on FB and even in the news media some people saying stuff like "I have no sympathy..." and all that kinda nonsense. People are dying out there and losing ALL of their possessions.

    New EQ Head port misalignment?

This is what I did, with the heads off the car, and no valves in the heads, I bolted the intake on with and without the gasket and could see the drastic misalignment. So even if one modifies the bolt holes in the gasket (as EQ suggested), that wont help any intake misalignment.

I work for the company that powers the Bombardier CL415 Waterbomber, Pratt and Whitney Canada. I’m very proud to have worked on the PW123 program which is providing the reliable power for the much needed help to our awesome friends to the south. 2380 horsepower on each side I might add…

You might check out North West Arkansas as an option. We got plenty of room to park while traipse around looking at acreage. Regardless of where you resettle congrats on your decision. It takes a lot of courage to come to that kind of conclusion.

    New EQ Head port misalignment?

I think im going to have them pressure checked. If they pass, im just 'gunna send it. I would double check with measurements before you completely assume. Measure the top, bottom, and bolts with reference to the deck surface.
