Nah, you're good PB. I 100% agree regarding the headers. As you can see, mine do. And I'm pretty confident I had these zinc coated way back in the day. For anybody assuming that's because of age, they look like this within a few years of being done. It's a different time now and I'm a different...
More of a "how to" question; I'm wondering what are some of the better ways to clean up and coat or treat factory stock exhaust manifolds. As Always, thanks in advance, Gentlemen...and/or ladies.
Like my Daddy used to say, when push comes to shove, you Can't Beat Cubic Inches. That said, if you you can look away from price and power, a 273 would be a beautiful thing if that was what came in the car from the plant.
MRM, If someone is seriously searching for either of these, they may very well just search in that thread. You should have your shock plates in Suspension... and your tracks/seats in interior but neither really belongs here. Not here to scold, just tryin' to help.
NOT MINE. But something one of us may be interested in. I know I would be if I hadn't had an AM/FM refinished. Probably need to act pretty quick though...
I don't know if anyone has posted this yet but I thought I'd put it out there just in case.

Great information and I pretty much did the exact same thing. Change to one of the triangle screen air cleaner with a foam element but it literally would suffocate the engine so I just ran it without the foam for as little as I drove it. Lost track of my OE so I bought this one a few years back...
Yeah Mayhem, I'm a little confused on that too. There seems to be a lot of them out there with Canada on them but many others don't? I guess I'd prefer it not to be on there just because I'm in the states.
Wow, that's interesting. My original (or at least what you can see) looks like the one I had posted. Clearly had the Red and Blue borders. I wonder if it was a mid year change? Does yours have the flap?
Does anybody have OR know of a source for the later (1972) air cleaner maintenance decal. I picked one up on EBAY that was displayed as I needed but the one i received was a little different but also blemished with faded and bleeding colors. Many others on Ebay were that same bad quality. Not...
I was thinking the same thing earlier this morning but haven't been able to get around to it yet. Brand new plugs at startup also with maybe a half hour on them so hopefully it shows
Gentleman (and possibly some ladies) right side exhaust is huffing some blue smoke. Doesn't really start until it gets warm. Can somebody give me some input and how to pretest to figure out if it's rings or valves before I take it apart? There's also a chance it's from the valley because I had...
I'm following another thread right now regarding an upholstery question. A lot of guys stand by Legendary. I'm not a fan and think the only reason people refer them is because they are the only game in town as far as I know.
Quick question about the location of the vacuum hoses on my 1972 demon air cleaner. I've looked at multiple pictures where the lines from the two different diaphragms connect on the front and rear (however you would consider it) of the air cleaner. I found that almost all of them show the little...
I've said before, I'm not at all impressed by legendary and have noticed lately that many people I talk to about their nice stuff say that just had them done by reputable local shops.
I took the liberty of contacting TCI for ya, swinger and you were pretty much spot on with the Stall stats. Here is there reply...
That part number 141338 is a Street Rodder series and we no longer have those. It is a 10” stalls around 1500-1700 behind a small block and 1700-1900 behind a big block.
Ahh, Okay. I was just hoping to save some time or miscalculations. Yeah, I think they did a pretty nice job. It was worth the time and cost of paint etc.
Wow, Good work. I hope I don't experience anything similar because I'd be LOST. Pretty impressive of Dave to work with you through that. How close are you to them? On another point, If you get a minute can you take a couple of pics of your hose and vacuum lines and possibly some rough...
I can't say from experience but when I was looking, I ran into a Rash of complaints online about WV having issues with tru-wobble so I ended up deciding on US Wheel. They are mounted and balanced with no issues though I haven't actually driven the car yet. I will say that I had thrown out...
Hey there, 4spd. I went with Mickey Thompsons on my Demon. My only complaint is that the smallest they make for 15's is 215/70 and I would have preferred 205's. The do clear though and I felt that Mickeys actually reflect the era better. I believe they were cheaper than BFG's too but that was at...
Thanks Kern, that's a very helpful chart. I do agree with checking the manual though. I have it on disc but I do like to come hear for answers though because they contain a wealth of experience.
