Is there anything special to look out for when inspecting a 1970 Dart Swinger?

To the OP @KevinK : Remember that old saying: "Better the devil you know..."? In my Intro here I stated almost the same thing as you, that I'm not a Mopar guy, but I'm here to learn (yadda, yadda), and in my opinion, given my 18 months of "vast experience" (insert snicker here), my advice would...

Changing engine mounts with engine installed

I swapped the 318 mounts on my 340 this way. I don’t remember taking anything but a few distributor wires off. I found a piece of wood that made contact with every oil pan bolt on one side of the pan and used a floor jack and a short bit of 2x4 to push up on the oil pan bolts. One side at a...

https://denver.craigslist.org/ctd/d/broomfield-71-dodge-demon/7838091617.html Huh. 340 with AC, sport mirrors and power disc in one of the yellows. If it's solid, that could be a good car for someone.

    Is this a v8 904?

There is a stamped number on the driver’s side of the case just above the oil pan that you can look up for the year and application.

    Is this a v8 904?

Yes, the pictured A904 Torqueflite is for a small block V-8. Slant six transmissions have the starter mount higher up on the left side. 904s were not used from the factory with big block V-8s. It could also be used with a 3.9L V-6.

Changing engine mounts with engine installed

On a side note, don't be afraid to "make" special tools. I've had a number of wrenches over the years, one, a cut apart and re-welded offset 13/16 box to change plugs in a header equipped 396. I've several that are bent AND SEVERAL WERE DONE with nothing more than a good propane...

Hi All, I'm picking up a bunch of parts this weekend for my project including the 904 in the pic below. I asked the seller what it was connected to but I havent heard back yet. I've researched how to identify them but its hard to tell from the only pic I was sent. Can someone help me out?

Classic/vintage car as a daily driver.

I've been daily driving this Barracuda since 2009 with few exceptions. It does get a bit beat up from driving and parking it in one of the biggest cities in the US. I've been working from home for about 10 years, so I don't have a commute anymore, so that's one thing to consider. Three years ago...
