What ever you do don't forget to put the oil slinger back in before you button it up like I did on my '72 Valiant 225. I got my parts on line for this at Rock. I got Cloyes brand. I have those on both of my Slant 6's.

Whats the recipe for the 318 used in the Mexican Super Bee's.....how did they get the 270HP rating. I am aware that they used the 360 later on but I am interested in the 318 for now. I am becoming more and more interested in these cars both A and F body variants...very cool cars! Thanks

Biff, The '86 OMNI GLHS was only available in Black. The Omni GLH and GLH Turbo were available in Blue, Red, Silver, Gold and Black. Never the less, which ever one your boss had, it was surely a HOOT. These cars are awesome.

From the cylinder head. There are 2 bosses, one near intake #3 and one near intake #5. Use both bosses at the same time. Have fun! Hope you are refreshening/rebuilding or hopping it up!

You'd need x-ray vision to tell the difference between the 198 and 225....LOL

1974 was the last year for the 198. ( sweet running engine by the way )...mine has manual disc brakes and power steering and it's Golden Fawn....I will post some pics.

The scoops, spoilers, wheel type and decals, that you have got going on, are all a great echoes of Trans Am racing....I'd go also with side exit exhaust like the T/A and AAR.............But let me tell you this those seats are awesome......please tell us where you got them.....those would work...

Disc Brakes on an A-body mandated BBP on that car starting in 1973. I have a '74 Duster with 198/auto with front manual discs and it is Big Bolt Pattern. Nice find!

I think you are going to want a 4" back spacing at the most....3.75" would be even better. I don't know if they made those? Then you gotta jack up the rear to clear the wheel lips..

Any A-body, starting in 1973, that had front disc brakes would automatically be 4.5" bolt pattern. If that A-body had a 7.25" rear end, it would have the 4.5" bolt pattern in the back with 10" drums. As an example, I have a '74 Plymouth Duster that is equipped with a 198 Slant 6 and auto...

The A body Barracuda was replaced by the '70 Duster. This is when the 1970 Barracuda became the E body. I must say the '69 and earlier Barracudas were a more premium car compaired to the Duster.
