In the first pic, you can see the "dot" to indicate ring "up" placement. Two things here, the gap is over the pin. And, looks as though that gap could be tight.

You may have to use a small punch and hammer to get through the gunk. Sometimes the build up gets hard like cement.

Sorry. I forgot to add that this was on E-Body stuff. Point being is different manufacturers parts not playing well together. TTI work with TTI, etc. So, since the Holley stuff moves engine forward, I would think the same issue would arise in an A-Body application.

I tried to fit TTI headers on a QA1 k member with the Holley engine bracket. No bueno. Will have to hack the **** out of the bracket to clear the tubes. This was a mock up on the floor, thank goodness.

You need a "clean neutral" valve body to even start considering being able to neutral from speed. Without it, you lose proper lube to those still fast spinning parts.

One other point I'm sure you're already aware of, but worth mentioning anyway, since you have a 2013 engine, make sure you get the appropriate pick up tube. They are different between the early(03-08) and VVT(09-present).
