Schumacher Tri-Y BB 383 modifications for Dart 4 speed

Hey Guys! Hope everyone is well. I'm finally getting back to my 1970 Dart project. I have a 383 4 speed. Can't seem to find enough info on Tri-Y vs. TTI. I have talked with the new owner at Schumacher (Chris) and he says that eventually he'll have the production mods for the BB Try-Y 4...

70 Dart S6 to 383BB conversion - Cast Iron Manifolds

Thank you, HemiSSDart. I have heard of milling the manifold to head surface a few thousands to "tilt" the driver side in toward the engine a bit. Was hoping not to have to do too much grinding or milling work. Thanks again!

70 Dart S6 to 383BB conversion - Cast Iron Manifolds

Hey Guys, Need guidance/thoughts if possible. Many of you (I think) indicated that B body HP manifolds would work on my 70 Dart project. It's 383 4spd with manual steering box. I'm on low budget and not concerned with the performance difference of headers vs. the HP manifolds. Just want to...

70 Dart S6 to 383BB conversion - Cast Iron Manifolds

Thx 71GSS! So those are b body HP manifolds, right? Very much appreciate those pics! Looks like casting # 2849982-2 for the drivers side?

70 Dart S6 to 383BB conversion - Cast Iron Manifolds

Thanks 71GSS. Much appreciated. Looks like the drop angles are a lot different from the b manifolds compared to the a body. I'm on a low budget and if I knew the b manifolds could work like you said I'd consider them I guess based on price.

70 Dart S6 to 383BB conversion - Cast Iron Manifolds

Does anyone know the casting # for a stock drivers side manifold? Like what might have been on a 68' 383 Dart GTS? Not sure if 4 speed is different? Mines a 4 spd. Thanks Guys.

70 Dart S6 to 383BB conversion - Cast Iron Manifolds

Guys, My motor build will be mild. Purple cam, mild compression, roller rockers, tunnel ram with holley 400's. Headers that will fit are well over $1000+ additional parts. My engine builder says I can just use stock manifolds with no performance sacrifice. My issue is the manifold set I...

Guys I'm going to ask for a lot of help this year! I Haven't touched my project car for the past 5 years and I've had it for 10. I'm making a run at getting it done this year. A few years ago I bought an 8.75 3.23 ratio sure grip. My unit is a 8.75 limited slip. Same 3.23 ratio. The...
