Right! I think about all the 318’s, cast iron 4bbl intakes, 904’s I’ve scrapped. Ive scrapped 18k “super” 6’s. Stupid.
i have a spare 302/318 that I kept just in case I blew the 360 in my 68. In another decade or so I’ll be able to sell that for what 340’s are going for now. (lol)
Dad passed in 2008. I Repainted a die-cast model of the last truck he owned to match his Truck. I’d like to add custom decals to the sides, his name, sayings or something of the sort.
are there any companies out there I could order custom decals from?
fyi the MGD can was from the last case...
since I have both 318/360 motors laying around, I’d choose 360 to stroke. You stroke a motor for more power. More cubes, easier it is to make power. Now if I found a deal on on a stroker 318 kit, I’d go with that.
Nicks garage dyno’d a stroker 318. Got some nice power.
Overhead valve spring compressor is the biggest pain in the *** of the job, especially by the blower motor.
with compressed air you will hear blow by, possibly air through the carb or exhaust if the valves dont seal 100%. Once the spring is compressed I tap the retainer with a hammer to losen...
The way I see it, pushing hot oil thru more surface area at a higher rpm is only a good thing. if your motor will never see 5500 or higher, I don’t think it matters.
the oil filter restricts oil flow. Once you hit a certain pressure the bypass valve in the filter will kick in, and the motor...
I have a 1968 318 Barracuda fast back. Dad(rip) bought it back in the 70’s to replace his coronet 500 383 4spd he use to race. drive shaft broke at the track and he wrecked it. He tried putting the 383 4spd in this car but didn’t want to cut up the car, sold the drive train for a 73 gold duster...
